Well, Murc Eye is actually "Reward Set", not sure if they are leaving him in. Otherwise, yes, I find that deck pretty terrible in current format, but I recon it working in standard (if Murc Eye stays).

Yeah, avenge was by far the strongest secret.  He is losing a lot of his other powerful cards (Minibot, Muster), tho that will hit more decks than Secret.

Also Egor/Arch team seems WAY more likely than Tables to me at this point, esp. given another recent vote where they voted No against mostly everybody, without chiming in their opinion (which was obviously contrary to everybody) in. I mean, ghost voted Nein too, but at least he is giving us some reasons for it.

Here are the chances for laws drawn by the upcoming government
FFF - 25.5%
FFL - 50.9%
FLL - 21.8%
LLL - 1.8%

Is this taking into account what we know though? Because that would be important. Assuming everyone told the truth about which policies they drew, we have seen 5 liberal policies. So there is only one more in the next 2 cards. I find it hard to believe that anyone would claim more liberal policies than he has actually drawn. That makes LLL impossible, and FFF only possible if someone lied.

Doesn't matter, discard gets shuffled.

Yeah, some of "liberals" seem like fine candidates, also I Tables as Chancellor is actually fine, gives us a bit more on faust too (as Tables investigated him).

What are your guys stances on me, btw, how much of you think I could be Hitler?

He is just a decent body with Silence effect. You could put in another good big drop and still not go that much worse.

Like, Ysera and Rag aren't problem. Sure, when control needs a finisher it will include them. One big finisher or another doesn't make a difference, it's a big finisher. It wont warp a format, you will always have some kind of big finisher. Problem is Alex, for example. Alex has such a powerful yet narrow effect, and it enables you to do nothing all game and than just Alex followed by a quick easy burst of 15, which is abnormal.  She makes or breaks decks, completely. It's a great card, but not one to stick in standard and warps it quite a lot.

There is a number of cards like these, which kinda do need to be address.

I presume you're talking about Mad Max: Fury Road. If you mean the original, then I'll change my statement. Fury Road is remarkably lacking in story. The story could easily be spooned into a half-hour show with room for another story arc. But it was a phenomenally done movie. It draws you in in a manner that makes you forget that there's not that much of a story. I normally poo-poo action movies for sacrificing story for visuals, but Fury Road is one of the few exceptions.

Yeah, Fury Road was in queston, and I agree with pretty much all you said.

Why is there such a short time limit for turns?  At least twice I ran out of time with more things I would've done.

EDIT: Just played a game that was a little too close. We kept trading minions while not doing each other much damage until I ran out of cards and my opponent had about 6 left (I had played a nourish at some point for +3 cards and another drawing card or two). We both had about nine hit points left, but my opponent had a few more minions to play. My very last card was a gnomish inventor. I resigned.

90 seconds is quite enough.
I think it could be improved by not end the turn if you are doing stuff, but that mainly concerns really convulsed Constructed decks that need to do a very big amount of actions each turn, like Old Patron or Exodia Mage.

Situation that you described is something that you actually can and need to recognize, and if you don't have enough reach or some huge impact minions, say - screw trading and go for tempo / face.

@silverspawn did you see new Mad Max?
No - should I watch it?

It's another movie where I think you should focus on cinematography, visuals/sound and (and in Max's case) world building and forget all the rest (like the non-existant story). Just curious what you think of it, but if you didn't see it, nevermind :D

Priest really needs to be played in a specific style - out value / out card your opponent. You need to make every trade favorable, and you do that with your heropower. That's how I go around with him, don't really think there is another way.

I actually prefered "a fistfull of dollars" to "the Good, the Bad and the Ugly". I thought that the whole part with the Civil War armies didn't really add much to the story.

Then again, in this world there are two kinds of people my friend.

I agree Civil War armies (the battle about that bridge) was odd and the worst part of the movie. The dusty uniforms, but, tho, was GOLD.

Fistful is good (even tho a ripoff :P) but doesn't match GBU, Few More I didn't really like that much.

Anybody saw Korean "The Good, The Bad, and the weird"? It's pretty DAMN awesome.

I don't think it's better to watch the trilogy, Fistful and Few More are not nearly as good.

Good, Bad, Ugly is incredible. I watched it pretty much expecting I won't like it actually, but it was amazing. Cinematography/Photography is incredible. Score I don't think needs word, Ecstasy of Gold is probably the most memorable piece in cinema history. Story ain't really that important as it is mostly character driver, you got these three no-gooders at each other necks, and all 3 of the are so hard-boiled, and it's the gist of it. Eastwood and Wallach kill it. It both defies the genre (at least what was seen as quintessential western at times, John Ford / John Wayne Noble Loner Hero style) and defines it at the same time, as later it became the quintessential western. There's no moral highground, it's just Wild West all the way. I seriously don't know how somebody can NOT like it.

Earlier this week I saw Deadpool (which disappointed at first, but got back on track, was pretty much as I expected it), and saw Carnage tonight, which was cool but it is very obvious at being an adapted play and as such has some problems with the big screen format.

Actually trying to get to 100 this year, January was fine (10), February not so (only 2 so far).. need to catch up! :D

Other Games / Re: f.ds MTG Online play?

I haven't really played before so don't know how bad it was, still disconnects happen sometimes, tho not too often. It has some bugs, mostly with windows that open (Resolving Jace, AoT's -2 can be a pain sometimes), but is generally enjoyable.

We can possibly set something up (few game, maybe a small tourney or w/e) next week, would be cool.

Other Games / f.ds MTG Online play?
« on: February 19, 2016, 01:27:04 pm »
I know we tried to organize a draft or something like ages ago, and it didn't work well.

However, since then some things changed. Now there is a online, free client (xmage) and you can play all formats there, make tourneys - including drafts/cubes of all sorts. It also implement rules i.e. it's automated.

I am MalReynolds there, usually on german server. If somebody is up for some games you can message me (best here, also any format works), or if there is enough interested parties we can make a draft or some other kind tourney.

Could we start a custom of telling what the current brawl is whenever we start talking about a new brawl? It's difficult to follow older discussions without this.

Your face has taunt.

They cant be attacked, either, and some minions thrive in those situations.

I have an extra golden Force of Nature, and while I do enjoy the Combo, I see it as a reasonable nerf, I'm happy either way, nerf or no :D (except if they nerf Roar instead :P).

"Wild was originally going to be known as Legacy but Brian Kibler urged them to make it more Warcrafty."

Funny how he said in his review that he doesn't like the name :P.

Note that if you vote against this government, you effectively vote for Egor as president.

If we vote no on that as well, who gets presidential power? Egor or nobody?

Am I correct in thinking that me drawing FLL would basically confirm Arch as scum?

How? Arch claimed FFF, dunno how drawing excess L makes him look guilty, shouldn't it make something who claimed extra Ls guilty? (like ADK or Tables)

Damn, I luv wrestlin. It's  entertaining as hell but actually quite a hard thing to do (physically), and in the same weird way you love a crappy B movie you fall in love with wrestling too. :D

Oh, and The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke is great, as well.
