I came here to say that I'm still a person who plays Dominion online quite a bit and am super unhappy with this news. The monthly fee along with no way for people who don't play very often feels alienating. With Making fun people who play once a year can hop on and enjoy a game of Dominion with me right now and they can do that for free with all the expansions. I feel extremely mislead in being told that my purchases would transfer over when in fact they basically won't. I understand the need to generate income but this feels like I'm being ripped off. I bought the expansions with the intention of being able to play with my more casual (maybe a few games a year) kind of people and I won't be able to do that anymore. And I have to choose between the "offline" version whatever that means and the online version.

If the payment model stays the same, I won't be making the move.

Yeah, may have to declare this game dead.

I wasn't really getting into it as much as I hoped. I love Vlaada games, so I had hopes. It may be that the rulebook is especially crunchy, and I don't really have the time to learn games that crunchy via PBF; I keep going back to the rulebook, and I'm not always at a spot where I can conveniently look at the rulebook. I may do better with someone's physical copy.

The rulebook makes the game seem a lot more complicated than it is. Its really a simple game though it probably is easier to have a sit down and play through the tutorial campaign to learn the rules because then you go, "Oh the rulebook has 2 pages explaining combat but its essentially block all of the attack or take damage, attack more than its defense or dont kill it"

Lies. My last two games were XXIII (XXIV ended before XXIII, and only two games have been played since), which ended in my victory - and ZMXIII (only ZMXIV has been played since), which ended in my victory. One was town, the other scum.

See? It hasn't been that long. And I'm kinda half signed up for a few others. I don't know if I'm in them, and I don't have the energy to check. If I get a PM, I'll know that I am though.

Also, Insomniac's a b**** when you're exhausted.

My preferred lynch at this point.  The tunneling on Eevee for something I don't find scummy is mainly what I'm going off of, here.  I don't agree much with either the Yuma or Dsell cases, but will keep them in mind.

What does everyone think of insomniac?

I know that guys town.

Im nullish if pushed I'd say I lean slightly scummy but its tough. I've never been particularly good at reading yuma though as the times I had a concrete town read on him he was scum and vice versa.

nk, lurking is a pretty common way for scum to skate through day 1 with a very low chance of being lynched for all the reasons you listed above, their flip isn't informative, etc. But in a game that can end on day 2 (and a blitz game no less) lurking is pretty bad. I'd say it's not a HUGE problem here and EFHW hasn't even been online in the last few hours, but imo lurking is definitely a scummy thing, it is certainly anti-town.

Do you still think your Yuma case is stronger than a efhw case? 
And why does it feel like getting votes lodged here is like pulling teeth?!?!  (My theory is that too many scum avoiding getting nailed down on paper)...

Unique votes are tiebreakers. It is something to be cautious of. People always mention that scum use it to manipulate the lynch but more often than not I've seen misinformed town using it to sneak their preferred lynch through (which if wrong causes them to be lynched and a loss for town)

Right now, I'm looking to lynch one of the four of Yuma, Dsell, Insomniac, and Eevee.

why not EFHW?

I think that a EFHW is much less informative than a flip of any of you four would be.  And I don't have a strong scum read (or any scum read) on EFHW that would make me want to push the lynch through despite that.

Not saying that EFHW isn't a potential lynch down the line, I just think that if we lynch EFHW today and she flips town, we're in much worse shape than we are if one of you four flip town, just because we have more interactions to work with.

I misread Robz last game and Im getting a similar vibe from EFHW right now, the one where there isn't a lot of posts to analyze and what there is has very little if any content. I swore up and down Robz was scum. Not sure what I make of this yet just trying to be aware of my bias.

Ins: Don't really have much of a read here. Lurking is a null, but he is trying harder than he was in the last blitz game (he was lurker town in the last game), so a bit of a scum-read.

Disagree that I'm trying harder, I tried damned hard in that game too there was just nothing to talk about and it frustrated me to no end how little the town talked in that game. I did not think we deserved that win at all.

And yet

I think at some point though, you said "This is frustrating, if you're going to lynch me go ahead". I'm not getting that mindset from you this game and that you'd even think about making a post like that.

Setup was different, but essentially as a VT it made very little difference if I was lynched because then my reads could be trusted. Except then there was no flip so it backfired on me but most people drew the conclusion that I was town. Also last game was essentially at deadline Eevee who had gained IC status by claiming PR said Insom is the lynch, thats all there is to it. So there wasn't a lot I could do either scum or town.
