So does Lich cause you to skip the rest of your current turn or does it wipe out the next one if you play just one?

Does this mean it is releasing tomorrow?

I am enjoying all of the Ways cards, but could we see 1 or 2 of the reaction cards? It would be cool if one of the ways was a reaction.

Can someone suggest where to go to watch gameplay videos?

It seems something's amiss. If we are to believe what Rio's people have put out, distributors should all have theirs by now.

Will the first person who gets a shipping notice please post here?

In strongly suggest trying the first suggested set, "Dusk." It really introduces a lot and is still a lot of fun.

Rio has ignored my last 3 emails. I ordered it from Amazon and they screwed up my order. It was supposed to arrive today but it hasn't even shipped. Happy Thanksgiving. I will play something else this holiday I guess.

I just got a UPS notice that I am getting a package tomorrow, but it is coming from Michigan so I don't think that can be from Rio.

Perhaps I will order one there. It seems that Rio has forsaken me. Thanks for the news. I appreciate it.

Donald X. got his copies awhile ago. My copy (direct from Rio Grande Games) arrived on Saturday. So hopefully stores will have them soon? I haven't heard any news.

At least I can tell you that the game seems to be in perfect condition. The cards all look and feel good, and of course are not bendy like the original run of Adventures. The colors seem to be well within the normal range for previous Dominion products. The backs of the Boon and Hex cards, while not exactly attractive, are nicely distinct from each other and from normal and randomizer card backs. I'm at work right now and can't take a photo, but yeah they seem good.

Thanks for the update. Did your copy come USPS? I am supposed to have one coming from Rio and I haven't gotten it ofr heard any news about it. Where do you live?

I live in Minnesota, and I cannot recall what shipping entity was used. I guess I could fish the box out of the recycling when I get home.

Did you order yours through Amazon or something, or was this your playtester's copy?

Mine is for various head playtester duties. Rickert does a lot for RGG at cons and stuff, I believe.

Yeah, I was supposed to get one to start getting familiar for Origins and for GenCon tournaments. Don't go to any big trouble getting the package out for me. I am just getting impatient like always. Enjoy it and hopefully I will get mine before too long.

Those look really great and I probably should invest. But once Nocturne is added to the complete set I am sure it would be nearly $90 with shipping. Maybe take a look after the holidays.

Went to 2 boxes prior to Empires so I am over that hurdle. I sleeve my cards so my room ran out sooner than some. I am more concerned with getting dividers soon. For now I will play exclusively with Nocturne and just keep them in the game box until I have dividers.

A full week after the date for it to start shipping, I've heard nothing from any distributors, online or B&M stores or customers getting any physical copies. Plus I have not heard anything from Jay or Donald about any delays in getting product out. This has been one of the longest weeks in my recent history. Sure, I've got a lot of Dominion I can play, but I want the new cards. ::)

I was not involved with the points so I don't know all the rankings but do know that Pablo and Jim were there. It was Pablo's win in the very last game that prevented a head-to-head, 2-player game for the title. Pablo hadn't won in the first 2 rounds and he was playing against 2 of the players who had a win and a second going into the third round.

The standings from the 2017 World Masters Dominion Tournament

1st - Adam Horton

2nd - Joshua Kronenberg
         Suzette Mariotti

4th - William Beagle
        Pierce Bowker
        Shaila Kuchibolta
        Seisuke Nakamuro

So third place is missing. If you were in charge of the tournament, why don't you have the name of all the participants?

Oh he was very much in charge of the tournament and your question is either silly or intentionally demeaning.

But we didn't know if somebody won a tournament and just didn't let Rio know they intended to come to Indy for GenCon. We wanted to have 9 but we wanted the priority to be given to those who qualified outside and were promised a spot.

As someone who was directly involved in running the GenCon event, I can shed a little light on it. I believe a fair of number of regional events were held nationally and even internationally. I had nothing to do with any of those. We were told there would be five who won those tournaments and had notified RGG that they were coming to play in the Sunday finals. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday there were a grand total of 15, two-hour pods set up and only the winner of those pods could move on to Saturday's semifinals. In 14 of the 15 pods, a player had to win 3 games to make it to the semis. In that other 1, just 2 wins made it. In 2 semifinals rounds the top 6 players were identified and another round was played to rank those 6 players. So we had enough players to get to the 9 we wanted. We promised the top 2 players from Saturday they would be in the finals. We told the others they were alternates. On Sunday only 4 of the 5 showed up for the finals from the winners of other tournaments. So we used 5 from Saturday.

On Sunday there were 3 rounds. In each was played on 3 identical setups. The point system was 5-3-1. If after 3 rounds, 1 or more people were tied for the most points, a final table would be set as a winner-take-all for the $1,000 first prize. But after 3 rounds, just one player had 13 points with two firsts and a second. I believe 7 of the 9 won at least 1 game. Congrats to the Adam Horton, who is an outstanding player.

The fact that he won by coming through the GenCon preliminaries and the semis in no way diminishes the accomplishment. None of the sets used on Sunday had been used for the preliminaries or the semis. I hope this clears some things up about the way this was handled.

Okay, so I just got my physical copy and all I have to say is that Hasbro f'd upped BIG TIME! I mean really big. The cards are noticeably thinner and feel much different. That's the biggest thing. Then, the rulebook. It's all blurry and pixelated. And, it seems to be of lower quality paper than the previous rule books. It's a step down. Actually, everything is a step down. The box lacks the waxy feel so feels very different from the other boxes. I am a very tactile person so this really stands out to me. The tokens are okay, but lack the sleek feel and luster of the Prosperity and Sea Side mats. Essentially, Hasbro toned down the high standards we saw in previous Dominion sets for whatever reason and hopped no one would notice. And, they are freaking huge company for crying out loud. Ugh! Yah, I'm dissapointed, but I know this is not RGG's fault. This does leave a bad impression though on some people who will see it as RGG trying to cut corners.

Cards are definitely not thinner.
