My submission is Both an action card, and a Thematic non supply card (ala horse)

The normal action card:

$4, Action

+3 Cards
You may play a Slum from your hand. If you didn't, gain a Slum

The thematic non supply card:

$1, Action - Duration

+1 Action.
You may take 1 Debt to get +1 Action. If you did, at the start of your next turn, repeat this ability.
When you gain or trash this, play it.
(This is not in the Supply)

There are 6 Slum  cards per player. So 2 player theres 12, 3 player 18, etc.
If you gain a labour card during another players turn, you still have to play it. You may take a debt to ensure Actions at the start of your actual next turn.

I didn't think that far, but that's actually an excellent point. If the VP gain is 1 or more, gaining curses with this is absolutely legit in the right deck. Especially if the board is weak and you're playing engine vs. a money-based strategy.


If inmake it soits between “1-6” $, how is it then?

And does this card seem fun?

Yes, you read that right. A cantrip card that gives everyone cards!! And you VP, round up!
This is gonna speed up the game a lot though!

If no other player chooses to gain the card, you dont get vp for it

Does this prompt mean that the card has to unconditionally give vp, or just that itthe card can give out vp?

I had an idea to make communal ride a split card pile, with 5 communal rides and 5 of an attack card that basically said
“+2 money
+ 2 buys

The next time any other players would gain a card costing 3 or less, you may choose to:
Put it at the top of their deck; trash it; or you put it onto your deck instead and no other players gains a card”

Dont have access to my computer rn, so using this text

In games using this, when you remove the last freeze token from a card, if it’s an action or treasure card, play it.

Shared Momentum

Any +1 is instead +2.
When you gain this card, each other player gains a horse and +1 Villager.
(this trait can't be on a card without +1)

Is traits allright? Here is one i just made.

Turns any normal +1 something action card into a +2!! Techniclly it could land on a non +1 Card and +1 Action card, in which case it woulnt be a lost city.
But i just love the idea.

To make this not be identical to lost city i made it so the other players gains horses, and a villager. A different "penalty" for you.

Ordinary man, i think youbwere clear enough. Sometimes people just misses a rule or announcement. It happens.
It has happened when im the one announcing it, i forget my own thing!
All you can do it go “here is the rule” and remind people.

Distant lands for example could be made into

Move your Pest token to an Action Supply pile costing up to $4.
(When you play a card from that pile, you first gain a copy of it.)

Turns any $4 action into a Rat / Magpie in terms of self-gaining. Probably very broken with Experiment, and you can pile out all the Villas in one turn.

Make it be "the first time you play it this turn"

turns whatever non-duration card you want into a wharf!! That's nuts!! maybe this should cost more then $7

Move your Future token to an non-Duration Action Supply pile. (Cards from this pile are during your turns also Duration cards first saying "Now and at the start of your next turn")

Thanks for the win and the judging!

For what it's worth, I appreciated your succinct notes. It felt like for a while there was an arms-race of which judge could provide the most intensive, detailed feedback, (I am guilty for competing in that as well) and I welcome brevity as a welcome breath of fresh air.

I liked the judging: i would have liked 20% more text on most cards judgement though.
Or just slight suggestions.

On my card it would have been nice if you suggested how to nerf it. Not necessarily a deep dive, just
“5$ seems better” or “it should discard a card”
