Game #1 sherwinpr wins because his deck is way better than mine. We open 5/2 trading post/hamlet for us both. The obvious strategy is to go after minion/grandmarket. I, being the genius that I am, decide that golem is going to be the card that is going to overcome my second player disadvantage. Along the way I decide trading post is unnecessary and salvage it away. I know it's hard to believe that I lost this one, but I did.

Game #4 is a colony game with mountebank/chapel/watchtower. With all the trashing, mountebank wasn't a factor. Sherwinpr and I agree that I won this one because he bought two mountebank and I bought one mountebank, and instead of the second mountebank I bought a mint. That allowed me gain more plats than him.

Game #5 was an interesting hunting party game with alot of useful actions and horn of plenty. On my last turn I bought two provinces and HoP one province.
Thanks to sherwinpr for a good match and conversation. He was really cool even though I kept rescheduling. I really appreciate that. Thanks again sherwinpr.

Pretty boring game because I got 5/2 with mountebank on the board. Not impossible to overcome because upgrade was on the board also. Still difficult though.

Another boring game because he got 5/2 with mountebank on the board. There was no trashing on the board, I think. Any way he got two mb's before I bought one. When he started to piledrive the nobles, I packed it in.

He won because of double ambassador and I tried to do a scrying pool strategy. Basically, I'm dumb.

I win a game the game 6-2 on province, the interesting thing for me was I got 5 or maybe 6 of them from expands and upgrading expands. I don't think I ever did that before.

Just a weird mishmash, that I win because of farmland (I think).

A game in which I got lucky on the last turn. He took the last curse from torturer, then I bought the last duchy and two dukes.
I won by one point.
I will post the other links, if I remember.

Game Reports / interesting smuggler/highway game

This is my first post here, I am breaking my lurker status on this forum because I thought this was such an interesting game. I generally hate smuggler, most times silver is just better. This board was the best smuggler board I have ever seen, which made me want to post this. I think mneme had a better deck because he realized how good smuggler was going to be and got his second one earlier than me. His mistake, as he said in the postgame chat, was his failure to buy noble camp earlier. The +buy was also very important. In the end, I think my Inn buy on turn 13 won me this game. The next turn was a 5 province buy/smuggle turn. Thanks to mneme for one of the more intersting games I have played in a while.
