6 Provs by turn 12 on an Androminion Board; key cards: Rats, Workers Village, Salvager and Peddler

Failed confused this and the other topic and voted Governor, when I meant to vote envoy on this one.

Goko Dominion Online / Re: 6000 rating

I was hovering at 35 before Iso went down and have now cleared 6K playing 2-3 games a day +/-1K. I would say the quality of competition over 5K on goko is closer to the 20s on Iso than 30+. Seems like some combo of the serious Iso players didn't all move over, figuring out DA (I feel like I've been way ahead of my opponents on average using these cards), and that the ratings haven't had the time to stabilize like on Iso.

Do you think it can win a plat game?

With BV offering gains both from the supply and when acquired from the trash I bet games would 3 pile more often than go down to colonies.

I had a game where my deck ended up being 10 fortresses and 9 bishops. Colony board ended on piles, NV was the other pile cleaned out. Finished with like 180 points, opponent never came close on being able to finish the Colonies off at a point they could catch me.

There's one without Guilds, but it's more expensive than buying cards separately

In fairness to them the package with all the games includes some other shit; zaps and such.

I'm going to switch over once Iso dies. Enjoy it too much and one of the few things I can semi-competently play with a fussy newborn strapped to my chest.

Nomad Camp.

Why? It allows for a turn 2 mountebank 60% of the time, and mountebank is leaps ahead of sea hag. After that, it's just Mountebank BM

Only 40% of the time. Your deck is CCCEE when you buy the NC, which means a 60% chance a copper is on the bottom. Meaning only 40% chance you draw CCCE with the NC on turn 2.

Sea Hag.

As there is no trashing, and very weak filtering in the kingdom winning or at least splitting the curses is a key to victory. Would likely follow up with silver and then a navigator with my next 4 to speed up cycling by discarding sets of 5 that do not have the Hag in them.

Timetwister: Outpost

As another early MTG player, this should be Time Walk. Timetwister would kind of be Chancellor for shuffling your deck and discards.

Time Vault: Tactician

Did it last night. Played the opening slightly wrong but got lucky with NV hitting an early estate blind. There was also Caravan as a small GS counter, plus I picked up a GS as well since I would have the action to spare.

I noticed it hasn't updated for over a week. Is it going to die again or does someone just need to give the server a good kick?

Forged a Tactician into a Market. Made sense at the time, Tact + Forge has thinned my deck, I had enough income to buy a Province every turn, and with Scheme I could top deck my Forge every time to Forge a Province so my opponents ability to catch me was diminished while deck remained thin.

Game Reports / Re: We don't need no STEEENKING tournaments!
« on: January 08, 2013, 03:07:15 pm »
Was shocked I didn't hold on with getting to Followers and Steed relatively quickly. Was impressed by the come back.

Never even got to use my KC. Only bought them because I fell 1 short of 8 twice, and thought since I was stalling out the duchy-estate buy would only speed up the stalling out, but hitting 1 KC would let me grab the last province I needed to clinch. However I would've held on had I gone the duchy + estate route, or gotten 1 more coin either of the two turns.

Game Reports / Developing an Engine

Recently played this game:

http://councilroom.com/game?game_id=game-20130105-183642-9acaf14d.html

Thought it was an interesting contrast. Rather than racing to get money to Wharf quickly and building the engine from there I start off going Develop and Caravan, then some silver and more Caravans since Developing a Caravan gives me both engine components top decked and ready to go.

Game Reports / Going almost cashless vs. Pirate ship
« on: January 03, 2013, 04:51:15 pm »
Only bought 1 silver to help insure I could get the merchant ships near the start and used a workshop to clear islands and get villages to fuel Nobles engine. Figured that would clog my deck with enough non-money cards to slow pirate ships even as it thinned my deck for me, but would allow me to still pick up a couple provinces when my minimal cash generating actions lined up with my remaining money. I could've bought the last prov on the final turn but went for the last nobles to have pile driven those and the islands.

Pulled this off on a board list night with KC, Warf (out), FV (out), Salvager, and Smugglers on a single turn. KC-Smuggled the last 2 Wharves, managed to draw everything with  KC-Warf +other wharves  and used a salvaged a gold for the 8th buy and the 2 more coins I needed.

Checked off list: Transmuting Ambassador - Duchy to end the game on piles for the win.

Ugliest game ever, featuring: Ambassador, Swindler, Saboteur, Sea Hag, and Golem on a 5/2 opener.  Games should not end on Duchies, Curses, and Cellars.  They just shouldn't.

I agree that game sucked. Also estates had to be close I had swindled 3-4 of yours.
