Yeah, that's what I thought in the end. I just thought that beginners might find that confusing ;)

Well, I certainly don't agree with all the points he makes, but I don't find all the toxic reactions here quite fitting. It's a pretty innocent video, aimed for absolute beginners, who, I'll remind you, get beaten quite often by Big Money. Of course this will not make you the 2016 Dominionstrategy.com Champion, but hey, it'll probably spark your opponents to step up their game. I know my father playing BM drew me to this forum, so, there's that.

I didn't quite understand by what he meant with "no 'trash'" though. I thought he referred to Chapel, and he did show Remodel, but he did seem to talk about coppers and estates. That was a bit confusing.

I must say I found the end... Cringe-worthy to say the least.

Greetings and welcome to the forum!
We've been getting a lot of new people recently, which is just fantabulous. It's not my job to tell you to check out the Forum Games and Dominion League, so I won't tell you to check out the Forum Games and Dominion League.
Thanks for leaving that to the professional, Roadrunner.

Check out the forum games and League! I'm not participating in either of those things at the moment, but you know, I get paid quite good.

Well, if all these other players just weren't enough, I'd be down for this ;) Could stream as well. I'm in the Netherlands, so that's a bit better scheduling-wise.

Okay, this sucks. I can't seem to move on to the next level of the campaigns? Even after beating them?

I can play again, that's for now good enough :)

(Also, the logo has changed. It looks more... Modern now? Does it really matter?)

For some bizarre reason, this version has not worked with me at all. 2.0.43 was fine, but this hasn't started well yet.

Rats is already way too high, it's a deck-destroying trap card on more than 9 out of 10 boards. Should definitely be bottom tier. I voted it second-to-last myself, just above Scout.

I don't think how good a card is when you randomly add it to a deck is a good measure of the goodness of a card. You buy Rats when you shouldn't and you definitely play the card from your hand too often. Doesn't make Rats worse than Thief and Spy. Rats has its place, Thief just really doesn't.

Every card has its place. Thief is good in some games with strong trashing but no virtual money. I think Rats is more situational than Thief, it is generally weaker and shines on a smaller amount of boards. I don't think I've actually bought Rats more than a couple of times in my life, and I don't think I've EVER been glad about buying it, nor have I regretted not buying it (then again, of course I didn't play Dark Ages half as much as Base...).

Before people come out and show me games where they dominated with Rats: I know they exist, I just acknowledged every card has its place, I'm just saying that Rats is worse than almost all other cards in general.
Thief just never shines. Only some Big Money-type games were people trash down, maybe. Rats actually combos decently with almost all TfB. Not that you want the Rats all the time, but when it shines, it's really good. There is no way Thief, Navigator, Feast and Scout can compete, as they all suffer from the same problem that they never really shine (except for that one game were SCSN bought 10 Navigators).

71
By the way, what card do you think will be first?

Masquerade, of course.
I haven't got it there. (Now, my vote doesn't count for much, as this is weighted, but hey) (And I wasn't the one with Fortune Teller on #1, because Fortune Teller sucks)

72
My only real diversions on this list are Doctor, Market Square and Wishing Well.
I must say I might have overestimated Wishing Well after playing that one campaign were Scout/Wishing Well actually is good.

Market Square I have way lower (30), as I don't think it's that hot. It's a pretty bad opener, it's cantrip +buy (which is very nice), but I never think it's really amazing. It's a really funny counter versus Swindler though :D

Doctor is one of the faster trashers and I have ranked it twelfth. That might be too high, but I will almost always open Doctor without Chapel or Steward, especially on a 4/3. I might have it a bit high, but I think it's undervalued here.

By the way, what card do you think will be first? Win FABULOUS PRIZES :O (Just kidding, there are no prizes)

Non-Mafia Game Threads / Re: Codenames II

Ah, well, apple sauce might be a Dutch thing, as at kids parties it is sometimes served with fries, which was my association (although I was quite sure it wasn't the one you meant, but I didn't know what else I should try).

As for fastener, nail wouldn't be my first guess there. That might have been my failure to see the second meaning of nail (I only thought of nails in the sense of fingers), so that probably was my fault.

Anyway, well played team blue :)
Again?

I mean seriously there are near uncountable numbers of possible Dominion games, is it that implausible that someone might buy a Navigator as an early game accelerator planning to build a Herald engine later?
Yes.
