I'm not sure if this is important, but I feel I should point out that I'm in the UK, so my time zone may be slightly out of synch if the game is full of people on the other side of the pond.

It is my experience in general that, people who uh don't play Magic tend to be more uppity about losing their stuff, their precious stuff.

They should try playing chess.

Or shogi. In shogi the soldiers you lose are actually captured by the enemy and turned against you in some sort of twisted betrayal. As your castle crumbles around your king, you can't help but look at the traitors who once fought by your side and ask, "why?! Please.... Why?"

But I do wish we had better match-making.  without it I mostly end up playing bots

I play a lot of bots too. If you hang out in Outpost then I'm sure I'll bump into you and we can maybe get some human games going for once.

I mostly feel like, man, CC could be pulling a huge hoax and the solution doesn't work and I wouldn't have a clue.

Actually my wife and I plan to sit down with all the real cards and go through the solution step-by-step soon, just to watch the magic unfold.

I desperately want to do this, but do not own almost all the necessary cards.

This isn't probably the biggest Counting House ever or anything like that, but the number 16 is a running joke at my school so this moment was quite great for me.

That's funny because I just saw a bot do one better today xD

It's a Colony game that I won, where I managed to get all ten Curses in the Banker's deck with a combo of Sea Hag and Ambassador (the bot didn't buy one ) before getting a Farming Village/Smithy engine going, I held on to a single Copper that I would Ambassador over to the bot every turn. This sounds great, but due to being distracted I forgot that counting house was on the board and missed the bot buying it.

With no +buy it wasn't too scary, but imagine my surprise when I looked at my screen between jokes to see this turn played out.

The other day someone mentioned Judas selling Jesus out for 40 pieces of silver. I find hitting $11 for a Colony hard enough. If I want to buy Jesus I need to hit $40? Seems pretty expensive just to trash him with Trader. Imagine trashing him with an apprentice...
