I am now taking nominations for all categories listed below.
Game-based Categories:
Best "Normal" Game
Best "Non-Normal/Non-BM" Game
Best "Bastard/Drunk" Game
Best In-Game Moment
Player-based Categories:
Best Town Performance in a Single Game
Best Scum Performance in a Single Game
Best Townie
Best Scum
Best Newbie Performance
Player of the Year
Mod-based Categories:
Best Original Set-Up
Best Original Role
Best Flavor
Mod of the Year
Please use the submission form in Post 2 to send me your selections.
Here is a quick run down of each award, to help you in nominating:
Best "Normal" Game
Any finished game listed under "normal" games in the Index (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=9677.0), starting with Mafia XV (Switch) and ending with Mafia XXXIV (Game of Thrones).
Best "Non-Normal/Non-BM" Game
Any finished game listed under "RMM," "Blitz," or "Newbie" games in the Index (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=9677.0), starting with DoMafia I through RMM10, and all Blitz and Newbie games.
Best "Bastard/Drunk" Game
Any finished game listed under "Bastard" or "Drunk" games, starting with BMVII (Morgrim's game) and ending with BM13 (Camelot), and all Drunk games.
Best In-Game Moment
Any moment from any game eligible for the three awards above.
Best Town Performance in a Single Game
Any single performance by a member of the Town in any game eligible for the Normal and Non-Normal/Non-BM awards may be nominated.
Best Scum Performance in a Single Game
Any single performance by a member of any non-town (i.e., mafia, werewolf, SK, Survivor) in any game eligible for the Normal and Non-Normal/Non-BM awards may be nominated.
Best Townie
This award is based on a player's overall performance in town roles throughout the year. Nominees must have at least 4 games during the year as town to qualify.
Best Scum
This award is based on a player's overall performance in scum roles throughout the year. Nominees must have at least 2 games during the year as scum to qualify.
Best Newbie Performance
This award is for a player's performance in a single game as either faction in any of the first three games of a player's career. That game must be eligible for the Normal or Non-Normal/Non-BM game awards above.
Player of the Year
This award is for the single best f.ds mafia player across the board, in all roles.
Best Original Set-Up
This award is for any original set-up eligible for game awards this year.
Best Original Role
This award is for any original role included in a game eligible for awards this year.
Best Flavor
This award is for the best flavor used throughout a game eligible for awards this year. Nominations should take into consideration how well the flavor was used throughout the game, not just how awesome the flavor is in and of itself.
Mod of the Year
This award is for the best mod of the year. Nominations should take into account not just game creation, but also responsiveness, accuracy, availability to players, and creativity.

Just list names/games next to each category. There is no limit to how many nominations you can submit per award, but please limit your PMs to me. Only your latest PM will be counted, so if you want to change or update your nominations, send me a new, full PM.
I do NOT need justifications for any of these at this time. Once I parse the nominations and decide on finalists, I may reach out to nominators for descriptions if I am not familiar with something.

For best town/scum in a single game, do we have to include the player and the game?

I was going to do some stat based research for the nominating process, but I think instead to make it less work I will do it once the nominees have been announced and provide some more specific data then. Obviously stats is only a part of the process and should be treated as such, but I think it is worth looking at.

The one thing I might ask - can we talk about who is eligible for the Newbie award (first 3 games) one? Because I only submitted one person since I'm so uncertain of who is eligible for that award. Revealing people we think are eligible kind of reveals who we nominated, but I don't want someone awesome to only get nominated once because only one person realizes it and so ash decides to leave them off the finalists list.

I say go ahead and nominate them, later ash and maybe a few others can look over and see if they qualify as newbies... the term is kinda vague... jorbles would be considered a newbie in Bankers as it was only his second game, but he obviously wasn't a newbie having been around for months and hosting games himself previous to bankers...

I say go ahead and nominate them, later ash and maybe a few others can look over and see if they qualify as newbies... the term is kinda vague... jorbles would be considered a newbie in Bankers as it was only his second game, but he obviously wasn't a newbie having been around for months and hosting games himself previous to bankers...
I nominated I believe 3 people for that award, who were all true newbies.. i.e., they were playing their first game with us.

That Blitz game, where I acted like jerk scum on purpose, was scum, was lynched for it.

Yuma is right, just nominate who you think was a newbie. I'll verify all nominations to make sure they are valid.
