Hey gang. Just finished up a new Sporcle quiz. It is pretty tough. You are given limited information from a card, and must name the card. Some of the differences are very subtle, so think it through and click carefully! Good luck!
Dominion Cards: Hard Mode (http://www.sporcle.com/games/wolfsbro/dominion-cards-hard-mode/)
My previous quizzes:
Dominion Cards A-Z Blitz (http://www.sporcle.com/games/wolfsbro/dominion-a-z-blitz) (now updated through Guilds)
Dominion Super Quiz (http://www.sporcle.com/games/wolfsbro/dominion-the-card-game-super-quiz) (Name a card that...)
-
I got 42/50.
-
This has an error:
Rebuild also says "not the named card"
Also, [Action] "Shelter" is obnoxiously close to [Action-Shelter] and needs to be changed.
(41/50, should be 42 for rebuild.)
-
in that case, I got 43 :P

This has an error:
Rebuild also says "not the named card"
Fixed.
Also, [Action] "Shelter" is obnoxiously close to [Action-Shelter] and needs to be changed.
No, it does not need to be changed. This is kind of the point. If you would like a mindlessly easy quiz where all of the cards are completely different from each other, you are free to make it yourself.

I mixed [Action]Shelter and [ACTION]Shelter] and also do not know the overpays (play some other minor errors). got 43/50

Make sure to read the instructions at the top of the quiz carefully.

Did I misread or do Grand Market and Contraband both say: "Can't buy this"? Or is it "Can't buy that" on Contraband?
EDIT: I'm referring to the quiz. On the cards it is "that" and "this". Quite tricky. Never noticed.

Rebuild also says "not the named card"
Fixed.
Rebuild still isn't on there?
Another missing answer that would be correct -- Native Village also says "face down".
-
Here's a breakdown of the trickiest answers:
"You can't buy this" = Grand Market
"You can't buy that" = Contraband
"For each $1 you overpaid, look through" = Herald
"For each $1 you overpaid, look at" = Doctor
"Per $1 you overpaid" = Masterpiece
"Each differently named card" = Tribute
"Per differently named card" = Harvest
"differently named cards" = fairgrounds
"differently named card" = Horn of Plenty (not a correct answer)
"not an Action" = Scrying Pool
"not Action card" = Diadem
"until revealing" = Saboteur
"until you reveal" = Scrying Pool
[Action - Shelter] = Necropolis
[Action] "Shelter" = Vagrant

These facts true, but they are not available answer choices. You'll just have to find the answer choice that works. This would only be valid if the quiz allowed you to type in anything.

These are about all I missed : :-[ ... :)
Nice quiz. Even more difficult for me and all these who had learned the cards in another language.

Thank you! And amazing job coming to this quiz after having learned the cards in another language. That is amazing.

44/50 with 4:44 left.
-
"You can't buy this"
"You can't buy that"
...
"This is that"
Well, it all makes sense now!
Tribute and Harvest were extremely difficult, I had to take this like 10 times to get all correct, and out of the failed attempts, at least 90% were failures because of Tribute and Harvest. And Saboteur was the other 10%.
-
45, not going to retake it. :P
-
Try 1, 37 with some very stupid mistakes. Try 2, 47 and only one of the three I missed was much of a surprise.
-
After some tries I got my time for all 50 correct down to 1:30 (1:30 used, 8:30 left).
edit: down to 1:28
edit 2: 1:23
edit 3: 1:19
-
43/50
-
46/50 :)
-
FYI, I believe "Vineyards" should be "Vineyard" in your quiz.
-

You're missing the point. The issue here is that you're catching people out who haven't completely parsed and remembered the notation you made up soley for the quiz and make the mistake because of time pressure, not people who can't recognise what card is being referred to.
-
I got 43/50 on my first try. For the Dominion Super Quiz, I missed Dominion's author because I spelled it Donald X. Vaccarino instead of Donald X Vaccarino.
-
There's two here that I think are kind of dick moves.
Diadem's text is from the reminder text. That doesn't really count.
Saboteur has a nonstandard digging template.
Aside from those two, all the ones I missed were dumb mistakes and Tribute. That one was clever.
-
38/50, although I'm not proud of the last ones I didn't guess.
But I ignored when you clicked on something wrong, it was... well, lost !
