What time is it? It's ALLITERATION TIME.
GokoDom II will start on 09 August. Mechanisms will be in place to allow people to vacation but not be "dead" because of it. More rules and such will be posted later; expect at least six if not seven rounds this season.

Nothing comes to mind. Well, mostly I just want to see the structure, particularly the dates, seedings, etc. It's not so much that I think you're going to do something which will be a deal-breaker for me, it's more that I am one of those paranoid guys who doesn't like committing to something so open-ended.

Absolutely! Hopefully rules will be posted within the next couple days. Still getting back into the swing of things after vacation and then minor surgery.

If this is a swiss again, you could pretty easily let someone request half-point byes ahead of time.

I have one question and one suggestion.
question - you have some rules for removing players from the tournament (sounds ok) but what about the Solkoff Score of previous opponents?
suggestion - Once you get to 8 players for a top 8, I'd prefer it if #1 is allowed to select an opponent from the other 7 players. Then the highest unselected player (probably #2) chooses someone, and then once more. This system prevents players to ever want to lose/draw a round to positively affect their schedule in the playoffs.
(without this suggestion - suppose you know that #2 is much stronger then #1, then you'd rather end up #8 then #7, or something weird like that. You could also rather be #2 then #1)

The player becomes a "virtual opponent" whose score assumes draws in all round after the dropout. In other words, if that player went W-L-L, then didn't show for Round 4, his record would (at the end of the tournament) "appear" to be W-L-L-L-D-D(-D).

The actual answer is that after you've requested too many draws your chances of being in the top 8 are slim to none.

It does so only when you put it in the title of the game, otherwise you can just disable it.

I joined a game by hosted by him. He "had connection trouble" before Turn 1.

I played him last week, unfortunately he didn't respond to my chatting. Then 10 turns in when I was crushing him, he had connection trouble and timed out 5 minutes later. Classy guy.

Just a quick question because I didn't see it in the rules. I am assuming that whoever owns the most cards gets to host, correct? So, if someone owns all sets + all promos they host or if someone didn't like Alchemy so didn't purchase it, if they play against someone with all expansions, that player with all sets hosts? Just double checking.
