I decided to piledrive Villages once I had a couple of Wharves, because he already had a bunch of terminals and I wanted to limit the number of Wharves he could play at once.

So someone bought an Adventurer before any Gold was bought?

Maybe a bit too expansive a counter to Sea Hag.

Maybe the opponent feared that, as Warfreak2 has done it with the villages, he will empty the adventurer pile once had golds and went on safe side by buying one beforehand...
