He's shooting up the leaderboard like a rocket. I'm curious whether he is playing amongst his friends, or is conmingling with the existing playerbase.
-
i played him saturday once (and beat him, though that was entirely due to a horrid draw and auto-meld on his part) so he is playing with random people at least occasionally. he ended up ranked 17th on the dominion leaderboard so with some practice i can understand that quick rise.
-
First is a very good Dominion player who has also been around here quite a bit. Not surprising if he's also doing well at Innovation.

Now he is really in first 8)
Never played with him though, just can't manage to play 35 games per day like him...
Hideyoshi said he has played against him and I think alvin did matched him too, though Hideo is good enough to beat him for that game. :)
Soon enough I can put up that 'level 40 or bust' tag :P :P :P
------
update:
2-1 against him today, really like his style though, he is the type of player who don't bother about computing values (say not very concerned about score sums and minor mechanics, sometimes you missed 1 or 2 'best move' you can still overcome since your master plan is still on track) all the time, use dogma as utilities, stays in control and he knows how to create a way to win the game. To master all these are good enough among the level ~40s ;)
-
I can just say, he is a good player ;)
-
played with him, can't remember how the game really wents
is there a way to check log of games you played without pushing the game log button at the end of a game?
-
Does he play echoes?

In theory, yes - councilroom.com served that purpose for Dominion Isotropic, but (to my knowledge) no such system exists for Innovation Isotropic. So practically, no.

Sounds like we need a CR for innovation ;P

The Internet! The Internet!
-
Names for a CR for innovation are kind of hard, because most of the card names are insanely popular english words.
-
Miniaturization.
-
The domain is taken. And I am not sure I can spell it ;(.
-
Industrialization Monument?

figuresinthesand.com is free.

My other account is 雪, but one day I couldn't find any opponent to play against, so I created this alternate account and ended up ranking higher.
really like his style though
Glad you like it :)
Does he play echoes?
Yes, and I love it.
-
I can't tell if that's the same symbol as the player I played at echoes today..

I started working on a parser for Innovation games. I actually emailed dougz some time ago to mention the fact that logs were not sufficient to get the complete game state (not including what's in the decks, of course) but didn't get a reply yet.

How about SplayRight.com?

How about SplayRight.com?
Did you hear that from theory? It's actually what we sort of settled on about a month ago, in person.

He probably just found your conversation with the power of Google. Google knows everything.
-
As far as I can tell, google didn't index it. From my gmail logs..

Ben: Industrialization?

-
Heh, that's a gmail log referencing a conversation that happened in person with theory. The gmail convo itself is not with theory.
-
Good. Theory does not seem like a Ben.

figuresinthesand.com is free.
Nobody likes this? I thought it was clever. You know, Figures. Statistical figures. :P

Nope, great minds think alike I guess!
I was just pondering through all the different Innovation-related names we could use for a stats site, and no individual techs really jumped out (that weren't already registered).

Good. Theory does not seem like a Ben.
So what does he seem like? A Theodore?

I'd like to know this too!

Maybe a Richard.
-
Pretty sure theory isn't that secretive about his name. Or at least I know *a* (first & surname) name that he uses online, although I guess it might be a psuedonym.
-
He +1'ed my post, I must be close.
