It comes in Thursday. Dougz should ask for a commission imo.
-
I just ordered it too, mostly because it seems easy to play, doesn't have the potential to make players really mad, and my friends won't play Dominion with me anymore :(
-
If you think innovation doesn't have the potential to make players really mad, you need to hang out in Age 8 more.
-
It can't possibly be as bad as a Torturer or Ghost Ship pin, which has caused more than one of my friends to quit Dominion.
-
I guess not. It's more like destroying someone's lego tower than it is... waterboarding.
-
One word: Fission.
-
I don't mind Fission nearly as much as Skyscrapers. At least you get to keep the rest of the stack!
I mean, if you're referring to this nuking part of it, that's really not that bad, the nuke is symmetric.
-
True enough. And yeah, I smacked someone with Skyscrapers the other day. On a stack of like 6 splayed right. It felt a bit evil.

That is hideously evil! (The Lego tower, im mixed on waterboarding)
-
I would like to see someone skyscrape someone's beautifully industrialized board to pieces. Alas it seems a difficult to realize, because they will be tucking at age 6, before clocks come out.
As a side note, why do skyscrapers destroy stacks anyway in a thematic sort of way? Maybe the inference is all the opponent's people abandon their craft and come to your city to work in the skyscraper?
-
It makes no sense. It should be called wrecking ball or airplane.
-
I figured that since you invented the skyscraper, those old inefficient buildings were demolished to make way for the beautiful new skylines (that your opponent then has to build).

I think I gave up on Innovation being flavorful as soon as I attacked someone with Medicine.

You don't attack someone with medicine, you demand that they take it. It's for their own good, after all.

Because medicine never hurt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iatrogenesis) anyone.
