Okay, so 2 piles gone with 3 Fishing Villages left. I'm 3 points behind, and I have $20 with 3 buys.
First brainwave: I'm going to buy a Colony and 3 Fishing Villages.
Second brainwave: I'm going to buy the Fishing Villages BEFORE I buy the Colony.
:-[
Anyone else had similar experiences?

I'm sure I played a game recently where I had one action, 21 to spend with an extra buy to come, and realised I could use a bishop to trash my wharf for some extra points. The wharf of course was needed for the extra buy.

This struck me as odd as I was under the impression that you're able to play your turn to the end before the game "stops". So I checked again in the Main Set rules, which says (emphasis mine): The game ends at the end of any player’s turn when either:
1) the Supply pile of Province cards is empty or
2) any 3 Supply piles are empty.
The game shouldn't be over until you've reached the cleanup phase, meaning using up your buys before discarding everything and theoretically even drawing five useless cards.
Would this then be a bug in Isotropic (assuming you played your game there)?

I think the point is he planned to buy 3x Fishing Village and then 1x Colony to win the game forgetting that he only had 3 buys. Thus he bought 3x Fishing Village and ended his turn (because he had no buys left) and the game ended in his loss.

Exactly. Everything would have been fine if I had one more buy.
