(Seriously, if you like puzzles and problem solving, this is definitely for you. Not for the feint hearted!!)
If only I had thought of you guys a few weeks ago before I joined a team!
Anyone ever done an Armchair Treasure hunt before? Its basically a treasure hunt full of clues and puzzles and codes which lead to a real life hidden treasure (which is only a small thing)
Each year since before some of you were born people from my Company, Logica, have devised one of the most elabourate of these, which is legendary within the treasure hunting circles.
Clues generally take the form of Pictures, riddles, codes and other devious clues hidden with the documentation.
For example, last years was based on Alan Turing, and all the clues gave you enough to work out the key words so you could use them to crack an Enigma riddle!
Months and Months go into preparing these, and usually they occupy my entire Christmas pestering people to help out!
The rules are, if you want to enter you need a Logica member to represent you, but unfortunately I have just signed up to help out another team (as this year I would rather not come in the bottom half as I do usually when on my own)
HOWEVER, I see no reason why I cannot share the puzzle with you guys and let you work on it. We would need a hidden forum as people WILL google to try and find answers and we wouldn't want anybody leeching of your hard work.

You'd be surprised how much google helps and once you get a couple you get the bug to get a few more!
and it is INCREDIBLY cool!
A lot of effort goes into making these

Dont be scared by how complex that one looks, once you start breaking it down they go smoother, especially if you are crowdsourcing!

I participated, to a good extent, in I Love Bees (alas all the phone stuff was scheduled during weekly meetings I couldn't miss, sigh), and quite enjoyed reading about The Beast (the hunt associated with the movie A.I.).
However, my December is already horribly booked; spending time treasure hunting isn't in the cards, alas. Perhaps next year... I bet if you had your own team of f.DS hunters, you could do well!

If we get enough people from here interested I'll ask Theory to set up a private forum, if there's only a few I'll send you the docs and stuff personally and set up a group elsewhere.
Yeah, I reckon if we just had F.DS working on this it would get solved pretty quickly, however as I just joined another team last week and already started theory crafting with them it would be a bit unfair to leave them without a Logica person.

You all know Ozle is really just working on this by himself, but is luring all us suckers into solving it for him.
... But I guess since we're all being lured, he deserves the credit anyway. :P
