Scout has 1. Gold has 2. Caravan has 4. Tournament has 10. How many has Pirate Ship? Which Dominion card has the most?
-
Are you sure Gold isn't three? If it's not, then I have no idea.
-
Possession has the most?
-
Pirate ship has: ____3____
The most: ______Silver_______

Possession has 6 if I've counted correctly. Gold certainly has 2. Tournament can actually be considered to have 11 (but don't get distracted by the 10 or 11 thing).
-
If that's the limit of the ambiguity I have no idea, though my guess is
Pirate ship has (about): 12
The most (that I found): philosopher's stone or overgrown estate each with about 16
If this is right I'm not sure what you're counting for caravan, I only get 3
-
I think awdrgy has just about got it, but I'll leave it open for more people to look at and increase the counts.
-
Do you have to look at the physical card to solve this?
-
OK, I feel like I got it but I'm getting like 13 on Tournament. Though one might be considered non-standard.
-
what?

The solution is based on "words within words". Scout has out. Gold has go, old. Caravan has car, a, van, an. Tournament has to, tour, our, urn, name, a, am amen, me, men. If you use a scrabble dictionary I'm sure that you can find many more short words that are not in common usage. On that basis Pirate Ship has at least 14 and Philosopher's Stone at least 16.

Yep, speaking as a competitive Scrabble player you are correct.
Scout has ut - a note in the original Solfege musical scale.
Caravan has ava - a Scottishism meaning of/at all.
both are legal plays and are part of the memorized 2 & 3 letter word lists that competitive players tend to have memorized.

Using SOWPODS (the scrabble word list used in most of the world (though not the US)) and the word "a" the counts are quite a bit higher:
scout: 3
gold: 2
caravan: 6
tournament: 18
pirate ship: 19
I wrote a program to do the counting. When I used a different list my counts agreed with DGs exactly (though again I missed the "a" in caravan)
