Hey folks,

I can't upload an avatar pic via the forum profile options. Error is "The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved."

The following errors occurred when trying to save your profile:

    The avatar you have selected is either too large or not an avatar.

Any ideas? The picture is only a 15kb jpg.

What are the dimensions? Mine is 48x47 (8 kb .jpg)

Some suggest that there might be a problem if there's a space in the URL if you are doing a remote hosted avatar.  Could that be it?

okay, its fixed now. I just downsized the picture even more to 60x60.

I was having the same issues too.  I took a look at theorie's avatar, and just matched the pixel size at 65x65 .GIF

I figured he would be the one to know :D
