Title: Ohai
Post by: Axe Knight on August 20, 2012, 10:01:05 pm
Hi, I'm Axe Knight.  Back when this forum first opened, I posted quite a bit,  even wrote a logic puzzle that's buried somewhere in the Puzzles and Challenges thread, but then I quickly had to leave for awhile because far, far less fun things happened in my life.

I live in Maryland, which is by Washington, DC for those who don't know.  I also like math, and I'm a classical pianist (mainly Chopin and Liszt).  I have a walk-in-closet full of board games, somewhere around 120 or so, lost track awhile ago.  In addition to Dominion, I like Caylus, Carcassonne, Princes of Florence, Puerto Rico, and St. Petersburg, to name a few.

Good to be back!

Hey Knight!

Which Dark Age knight do you think will be your favorite? Will you change your avatar to it?

Hi Axe Knight. As much as I love your taste in board games, I have to say that I much more respect your apparent appreciation of Dragon Quest. ;D

Oh no, I could never change my avatar from the Axe Knight, as I'm sure clb will sympathize.  ;)

As for my favorite knight, it's between Sir Michael, and Sir Vander.

Do you have a favorite piece?  Chopin is probably my favorite classical composer.

Everything!  I love his melodies.  I love playing the Ballades (especially #4), the Grande Valse Brilliante, the Polonaise in A Flat of course, and the Etudes of course.

Welcome! My wife is a Piano teacher who loves Chopin. Her screen name on Isotropic is Chopin.

Hey rrwoods. There is a running inbox for people in the DMV area. I, personally, am from Chevy Chase, DC. If you are at all close to the District, send me a PM and I'll try to add you to the thread if you are interested in participating in any of the meet-ups that occur. (There aren't that many.)

I'm on the border of Clarksville and Dayton.  It can be a bit of a pain to get to my place since I'm located just as you're getting into the middle of nowhere, though robz888 and werothegreat have come over.  I have game nights on two Fridays a month after work, if you're interested.
