Title: Black Market w/ Tac Isotropic bonus??
Post by: wojo on July 12, 2011, 04:46:54 pm
Using Black Markets within a Tactician bounus turn, allows you to play all coins prior to playing the second Tactician with all cash intact for the buy phase.

Is this a Isotropic bonus or is this a combo that would work sitting at a table with live opponents?

This works at a live table as well.  BM specifically allows you to play any treasures you wish; once they are in play, they can't be discarded.

Note that if your hand is Tactician, BM, and all the rest treasure, you need to keep one treasure in hand; Tactician requires you to discard one card.  (I've done this.)

In general, if it works on isotropic, it works in real life.

Black Market gives you a pseudo buy phase during your action phase.

So yes, it would combine nicely with Tactician in that you can spend your treasure before you discard your whole hand. Isotropic is rarely wrong because it is used to play test new cards.

The extra buy phase from the black market allows you to perform a number of 'tricks' that you normally couldn't perform. There are too many to mention really, and can involve action cards, treasure cards, or both.

This tactic is also fun with minion.
