Title: Scheme & Treasury Interaction
Post by: xBino on April 11, 2012, 12:40:47 pm
Hi all,

I recently played a game where I drew a large tactician hand, played 3 treasuries along with 3 schemes, and more actions I can't recall at the moment.  During the buy phase, I picked up 2 provinces.

The treasury card states that upon purchase of a victory card, it can no longer be top decked.  However, the scheme card with it's top decking ability would seem to over ride this.

Can anyone clarify whether or not I can top deck the 3 treasuries using the benefit of 3 scheme cards after a victory point card purchase?  I'm not sure how to reconcile the conflict.

Thanks!

You can top deck the Treasuries due to Scheme's effect. Had you not bought Provinces, you could have top decked the Treasuries by their own effect AND three other actions due to the Schemes.

Treasury says that if you did not buy a victory card, you may put it on top of your deck.

It does not say if you did buy a victory card, you may not put it on top of your deck, so there is nothing there that would imply you cannot use Scheme's ability.
