Is it me, or is Tragic Hero way worse than Margrave? Margrave's attack is good, which Tragic Hero's extra effect is more neutral; I see when it helps, but it hurts perhaps more often.

I'd say about 99% of dominion cards are way worse than Margrave.

Margrave hurts sometimes!
Margrave is way better than Tragic Hero. But the similarity and power level difference is only a design folly if they both show up in the same kingdom (without Platinum), and the odds of that are very, very low.

I'd still say Tragic Hero is better than Smithy and not as good as Hunting Grounds (when not normalized to their cost; when normalized to cost, eh I'd have to think about it).

So it's another Thief/Noble Brigand situation, with the "worse" card being enabled by Platinum and other powerful treasures.
