Title: Loading old games
Post by: teamlyle on June 23, 2017, 06:56:06 pm
Hi!

I'm not sure if this is a reasonable request, but could we possibly be able to load old games with expansions without having to buy the expansions? That would be really helpful, since it's frustrating when people post IDs for games and I'm not able to load them. Thanks.

Seems this would completely circumvent the payment system? I could just load random game numbers at decision 1 until I found one with all the expansions and play endlessly for free...

There really needs to be a well-formatted log available after the game to anyone with the hyperlink, regardless of subscription.

This I can certainly agree with. Logs are sorely missed. There is that analysis site that was posted on reddit, but last time I tried using it, it did not work.

This.  SO much this.  I can't understand why this hasn't happened yet.

Is there a reason why we can't reuse/copy the old Isotropish log prettifier? I loved that tool.

Logs are available somehow right? What does scavenger use?

Scavenger has access to the ShuffleIT database I believe.

Hrm, but that doesn't actually have the game logs :(

No it doesn't. Presumably if there was a way to fetch a raw log from a game number, it would be easy for someone to prop up the old Salvager colorizer on it.

Is there a way to load and old game and just replay it? Like watch all the decisions the players made without making any decisions yourself?

I can't find a way to do it, but it seems like this feature is almost implemented. Is it planned?
