Technically, Dame Molly was another splitter, but it never got revealed, since Knights were pretty ignorable on this board (my opponent bought 3 for some reason though, even though all of my key cards were completely immune to Knights).

Nice! Clever, and a really fast 3-pile. I always like finding creative ways to get +Actions. A couple questions:
  • What was the benefit of top-decking the Fool's Gold in the first turn? It seems like it would just slow your initial deck-cycling down a bit.
  • What on earth is going on with the log every time you play a Royal Blacksmith?? "A reveals a Merchant, 2 Coppers, a Scheme and a Fool's Gold."
  • Any reason you didn't grab a sole silver when you started Summoning Merchants? It's hard to see game state with the new logs... would the income from Silver + Merchant just not have been worthwhile compared to the Fool's Golds?

1. It gave me chances of hitting $4 again, which would have let me topdeck a FG again, which could have been good. Which doesn't really sound very good in retrospect, but I had been awake for 20 hours straight (FWIW I still haven't slept so this particular post is not the most reliable source of strategy advice, either) so it sounded good to me at the time.
2. I was wondering that myself.
3. I felt that I needed to spend everything on engine pieces because it wasn't the most reliable thing ever, and the extra money wasn't necessary because I had a ton anyway.

to the second question: you reveal your hand after every blacksmith play, since you have to discard all your coppers.

Also congratz, awaclus. I tried Summon as the only splitter a couple times, but I have failed so far to win.

But my hand wasn't "a Merchant, 2 Coppers, a Scheme and a Fool's Gold" every time I played Royal Blacksmith. Especially not before I had even bought any Merchants.

Thanks. In all fairness, my opponent was making a lot of... questionable plays here and I had at least decent shuffles IIRC, so the actual winning part wasn't that difficult as long as you could put the strategy together at all.
