Inspired by Witherweaver, I am creating a favorite reaction bracket! I specify Action-Reaction to get rid of Tunnel, Fool's Gold, and Hovel to have exactly 8. If people like those, I could get rid of different ones or have a play-in round. Here's a slightly biased bracket which I didn't spend too long thinking about. You can vote by posting the seed numbers you want to vote for. My vote: 1246
1. Watchtower
8. Secret Chamber 1. Watchtower
6. Caravan Guard 3. Trader
3. Trader 1. Watchtower
5. Moat 4. Horse Traders
4. Horse Traders 4. Horse Traders
7. Beggar 2. Market Square
2. Market Square
-
1. Watchtower
8. Secret Chamber
6. Caravan Guard
3. Trader
5. Moat
4. Horse Traders
7. Beggar
2. Market Square
I think top and bottom are clear. Caravan Guard I've only played with once.. it was kind of lackluster then. Trader is often lackluster. I dunno.. edge to Caravan Guard for being new and interesting. Horse Traders is good defense to many attacks and often a good source of +buy, so why not. Moat is mostly kind of meh.
I guess the only upset is Caravan Guard over Trader. Poor Secret Chamber never stood a chance.

I'd go with 1347.
Caravan Guard is interesting and new but not particularly fun. I mostly like it because orange and blue look nice together. Trader is interesting and sometimes good and brought about the phrase "Blue Dog Rule" so how could I not like it?
I like Beggar because it's niche; when it's good it's really cool. That was a hard one though.
Horse Traders is just so interesting; I don't get people who say it's boring.

I really wanted to vote for beggar as I like most cards that have a chance to make copper good, but I find the reaction to be pretty boring. Ultimately, I decided market square is a more fun package overall.

1647.
Watchtower is obvious. I kinda like Caravan Guard, but I haven't determined if it's any good yet. Horse Trader is super fun against discard attacks, I especially love the interaction with my second most hated card, Minion. Also pretty cool against Ghost Ship.
The last one was the most difficult for me, but I just find MS boring. Also I have an affinity for Beggar ever since I first bought it in a multiplayer game as a defense against Pirate Ship. I think that was my first pro move...

1. Watchtower
8. Secret Chamber
6. Caravan Guard
3. Trader
5. Moat
4. Horse Traders
7. Beggar
2. Market Square
I haven't had a chance to play with either Beggar or Market Square, so they're left neutral.
However, I really enjoy Trader. It's so fun to have an extra buy sitting around and be like "Oh, I guess I'll buy a Copper...waaaiiittt: It's a SILVER! HAHA!"
-
1347, giving Beggar a close upset.
-
1342.
Hermit/Market Square > Beggar/Gardens
-
1357
Watchtower is obviously the best reaction.
Trader leads to amusing money pile games.
Horse traders is a boring card, moat can actually save you.
Beggar combos are super satisfying when they are possible to make happen.
-
1. watchtower, 6. caravan guard, 4. horse traders, 2. market square
sorta made me realize that i don't really care for most of the reactions that aren't watchtower
-
1347
1. Watchtower
8. Secret Chamber
6. Caravan Guard
3. Trader
5. Moat
4. Horse Traders
7. Beggar
2. Market Square
It's close between Trader and Caravan Guard, though.
-
1432. I'd rank Caravan Guard ahead of Moat, though that may just be from playing in Adventures heavy games where you want something to throw that token onto.
-
1342
I love Market Square, and Beggar was only once helpful to me as a reaction (it is an excellent Saboteur counter). Caravan Guard isn't very exciting compared to Trader. Horse Traders is cooler than Moat. Watchtower is the best Reaction.
I wish Tunnel was here over Beggar - who uses Beggar for the Silvers?

I would have voted for these two above all of the lower seeds, and probably above all but horse traders and watchtower. As it is 1234.
-
1. Watchtower -> Secret Chamber is useless most of the time, wonky, and just not a lot of fun. No contest.
8. Secret Chamber
6. Caravan Guard
3. Trader -> Caravan Guard is boring and weak. Also no contest.
5. Moat -> This one is more difficult. Moat can be the draw in an engine in a pinch, while Horse Traders can be the +Buy in a pinch... Moat's reaction is stronger though, just blocking the attack altogether. I like Moat.
4. Horse Traders
7. Beggar
2. Market Square -> I've had so much fun using Market Square as a payload card, even if it's wrong.
-
1. Watchtower

Moat should just flat out win this. It's too classic. Watchtower is a close second for me though.

8. Secret Chamber

3. Trader
5. Moat
4. Horse Traders
Moat is so boring. The only card I would vote for Moat over is Secret Chamber. Horse Traders is a much more interesting card.
7. Beggar
2. Market Square
This was close. Apprentice Market Square or Hermit Market Square etc. is fun, but after watching Beggar be used as Mercenary fuel yesterday, it was a tough decision. I stuck with Market Square though

I think I will start the next round later tonight, so final call for votes...
EDIT: At this moment, both my respect total and post totals are multiples of 100, and they are off by 100. Crazy, right?

Well they should certainly be off by a multiple of 100...

The multiple is 1 though!

Ok.
Would there be interest for some sort of loser's bracket, containing FG and Tunnel perhaps?
-
Watchtower beats Secret Chamber 31-0
Trader beats Caravan Guard 21-10
Horse Traders beats Moat 24-7
Market Square beats Beggar 19-11
No 'upsets' this round, but the last one was closer than the seeds suggest, though in retrospect I could have expected that. Already to the final four!
1. Watchtower
3. Trader
4. Horse Traders
2. Market Square
The second is a close call for me, but I'll vote for Watchtower and Market Square.
I counted votes on mobile, so feel free to check me... Loser's bracket may come soon.

Trader is fun in a weird way when it's good and Watchtower is just fun in a normal way.
I really like how Horse Traders has that self synergy. Market Square's abilities kind of make sense together but could be mixed up.

Watchtower (though my actual favorite is Beggar, but it seems I am alone in that)

Watchtower is winning by at least 5 votes. I'll just leave voting open forever.
-
Watchtower for sure. I also like Trader and Market Square
