Title: What's up with Bridge?
Post by: AJP82 on February 01, 2016, 11:42:26 am
Seriously. Whether it's bot games, adventure games, or especially human v. human games, it seems like, while my games generally do not freeze no matter what's going on, the server almost tries to make an exception for every single time bridge, of all cards, is played. Just now, I played several cities and warehouses in a row, but as soon as I played the first of seven bridges, the game froze and gave itself to my opponent when I was about to clean-sweep the provinces. It doesn't even happen with highway. This is also the tenth or so time that's happened in the past month, and all ten incidents have involved trying to play bridge. Is there some glitch in the coding of bridge that causes the server to go fuzzy or something?

But before you do, make sure to uninstall MMF if you're using it.

Also check down in the Bug Reports forum, because it looks like there has been an ongoing issue with games freezing after playing a cost reducer that seems to relate possibly to either Black Market or Knights and maybe some other unusual cases where possibly they're not adjusting the cost correctly.

Maybe the Bridge is closed?

It's just Making Fun's implementation of the "Bridge troll".
