For those of you who want to test your Dominion knowledge and your memory at the same time, I have created three quizzes on Sporcle:
Kingdom Cards: Base Set through Guilds (https://www.sporcle.com/games/LastFootnote2/dominion-kingdom-cards-copy-1)
Kingdom Cards: Adventures through Plunder (plus Promos) (https://www.sporcle.com/games/LastFootnote2/dominion-kingdom-cards-2)
Events, Landmarks, Projects, Ways, Allies, and Traits (http://www.sporcle.com/games/LastFootnote2/dominion-events-copy)
-
I got 136. I got all of the Alchemy and Promos, almost all of the Base set, and varying amounts of the other ones.
I won't do the Events at the moment because I don't know those too well ::)
-
I have fun with these. I got 174 on my first try, though I did a similar test awhile back.
Guessed all of Cornucopia and all Promos. I can't believe I missed some from Alchemy and Guilds.
-
I tried to play this, but it isn't giving me any clue. It just says "Enter card name". I don't get it. how do you play?
EDIT: okay, I get it now. you just have to remember all the card names (and how to spell them -I can never spell beaurocrat without looking it up...). I'll have to restart the timer now.
first try: 135. My memory doesn't tend to work quickly.
-

You're just trying to list as many card names as you can.
-
149 on first try. Got all of Alchemy and Guilds. Forgot Walled Village from Promos.
-
200 first try. I can be satisfied with that.
-
185/236 !
I couldn't find again some names in Adventures, however.
The ones I missed
-in Base : Spy, Thief---------
-Intrigue : Steward, Scout----------
-Prosperity : only Counting house
-Cornucopia : Remake, Horse traders
-Guilds : Plaza, Merchant Guild
-Alchemy : None !
I missed a lot in Seaside, Hinterlands and Dark Ages but if I focused a bit more on them I'd have them
-
157 on my first try. Damn, I really need to start playing more Dominion again.
-
Wow I couldn't for the life of me remember "Envoy" even though I had the picture and effect in my mind.
-
134. I got most of the ones from the sets I own, since they're alphabetized. So I just went down the box in order. Missed pretty much all of Hinterlands and Seaside, and most of the other sets I don't own.
-
Cool, if you guess the new promo, it pops up in a little extra box.
-
I like that older one that separates the cards by cost and type. I think it's a good level of hint to have. But that one never updated after Guilds.
-
190 on my second try.
-
182 on my first try. I spent the last 10 seconds trying to remember the correct spelling of "Masquerade". Only got Alchemy and the Promos completely, with the most cards (10) missing in Hinterlands.
-
First try:
-
Events: 21/20, 0:34 remaining. I keep forgetting that Expedition exists, for some reason.
-
First try:
I had a feeling that you'd be good at this, Wero. Spending so much time working on the wiki really helped, I bet.
EDIT: Holy crap, I don't think even I've ever done it that fast. 13 minutes is my usual speed.
-

I considered that, but decided that makes it too easy. It makes a lot of the cards gimmes if you know them (how many Treasure/Reaction cards are there?). I could be convinced, though.

I suppose it's different difficulty levels which different people may find difficult. For me, I never got 100% on that other one. There was always a few things that I just couldn't think of, even when knowing it was a $4 attack from Seaside or something. But then you have people like Wero, who should be given no sets or prices, and should have to do it with a 5 minute time limit, while blindfolded, with a hand tied behind his back, while someone screams random words in his ear nonstop.
-
I may or may not list off all the Dominion Kingdom cards to myself while driving, or exercising, or otherwise having to wait for something.
-
Also, I know this is specifically a Kingdom Cards list, but I like that the other one included other cards like basic cards and non-supply cards.

Well, you can enter e.g. Madman into my quiz and it will fill in Hermit for you. Likewise with Prizes, etc. I guess it's tougher to remember the name of each individual Knight, but maybe there is/should be a separate quiz for that.
Really there are two reasons I did it this way. First, most of the non-Kingdom cards are trivial to remember and just take up precious seconds while you type them in. Second, a quiz can have at most 300 answers and last at most 20 minutes. If there are more expansions, I want to have room for those, too.

Says the guy who would know.
-
I know all the cards but I'm not familiar with events yet.
-
Fun Facts:
So far, 100% of players have guessed Village .
The least-guessed card is Scheme , sitting at 23.3%.

That was its plan all along.
-

Well, of course everyone knows the best card in Dominion.

... is Bureaucrat.
But it takes about 10 seconds to remember where to put all the vowels.
-
True story:
There was a two cost card from the base set that I couldn't remember to save my life.
It was moat.
-
Well I've already said how bad at these things I am, but now I have specifics... 153. The only "set" I got 100% was the promos. At least I spelled Bureaucrat (http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/index.php/Bureaucrat) right the first try!
*Edit* Looking back through the replies, I guess I was about average, median-wise.

In programming Dominion, I learned how to spell Bureaucrat right every time. It took me ages until I realized that it was literally just "Bureau" with "crat" at the end.

In Soviet Dominion, Bureaucrat learns how to spell you.
-
Byoorowkratt.
-
I got 194. That's lower than I usually got in the other quiz, unfortunately... my personal best there is 217. I blame the fact that the cards are no longer sorted by type here. :( Still, it's probably more fair this way.
-
So, I did this awhile ago, but forgot to post it here. The Kingdom Cards quiz has been updated to combine Cornucopia and Guilds, since they're now sold as a bundle.
-
Hey, 157 this time!
-
Man, 2+ years ago I would have been on-point with this (thanks isotropic). I doubt I'll remember half the cards now.
I also played a lot more IRL before my friends all got married!
-
182!
-
184... I think there should be an "easy version" that includes card types next to the prices for people like me.

There you go! (not mine, I found it by searching "dominion" on sporkle) :)

Thanks but this other version has already been discussed in this thread. I said I liked the format better, but it was never kept up to date past Prince or Adventures.

Beat my previous score! 11:50 left on the clock.

Damn, wero! How you type so fast?
-
Still haven't managed to get a perfect score. I'm not as good with remembering lists of things as I used to be. :(
-
Not that it really matters, but I plan to update these quizzes more or less as previews happen. And then when the full spoiler happens I'll update them completely.
-
Full update complete! Test your memory of cards (and Events and Landmarks) you just learned about!
-
I think you missed wedding.
-
I think you missed wedding.
Thanks! Fixed.

Just 105... I play Japanese version, so cannot spell English name like Apothecary (in Japanese, it is 薬師) without a Dictionary.
Maybe I should make Japanese version for players like Iriho.
-
I play the English version and I still can't spell Apothocary (or Beraucrat).
-
Think of it in chunks, like so:
Apo + The + Cary.
Bur + eau + Crat
Tricky words, yes. Divide and conquer, my dear son. Divide and conquer.
-
I play the English version and I still can't spell Apothocary (or Beraucrat).
Those are some of the easiest English words to spell, you spell them almost the way you pronounce them too.
-
I play the English version and I still can't spell Apothocary (or Beraucrat).
I feel like you accidentally got one of these right so you edited it so they were both wrong.
-
There are a very few allowed misspellings in the quizzes, and also a very few allowed abbreviations for very long card names. And in an earlier version it accepted "Old Blacksmith" for "Royal Blacksmith".
EDIT: And also you can name any card in a pile with multiple cards, and it'll give you that pile. Likewise you can name a non-Kingdom card that you can only get from one Kingdom card, and it'll give you the Kingdom card.
-
I'm slowing down! 11:19 with Empires added.
-
Haven't played Empires at all yet, since it didn't release here yet, but I managed to get 34/55 in the Events+Landmarks one. I did manage to forget two Adventures Events somehow (Bonfire and Expedition).
-
This should be "Name the Dominion Card-Shaped Things".
-

Let me think about that…
No.
-
Well if you won't ...
http://www.sporcle.com/games/ConManAU/name-the-dominion-uh-card-shaped-thing
(I'm lazy so it's hard mode - no hints like cost or anything.)
-
People need help figuring out what the cost of cards are? Sounds silly.
-
Kingdom Cards quiz updated.

Kingdom Cards quiz updated.
Slowed down a little more - 11:15. I did stop to add in Scout. ;)
-
Kingdom Cards quiz updated.
I quickly tested out typing in "Scout", "Woodcutter", etc. So how does this work now; are those answers required to consider the quiz "complete"?

No, they just show up as a bonus but don't count towards your score.
-
I added the 20 previewed Nocturne Kingdom cards as normal answers, added the remaining Nocturne Kingdom cards (which are public knowledge) as secret answers, and removed the 1st Edition outtakes as secret answers (due to lack of space).
-
The 25 new Kingdom cards in Renaissance will push the Kingdom Cards quiz past the maximum limit of 300 answers. So, I'm breaking it into two quizzes, one for Base Set through Guilds, and one for Adventures onward. The second edition stuff will be in the first quiz, and I now have room to re-add the outtakes as bonus answers.
Base Set through Guilds (https://www.sporcle.com/games/LastFootnote2/dominion-kingdom-cards-copy-1)
Adventures through Nocturne (https://www.sporcle.com/games/LastFootnote2/dominion-kingdom-cards-2)
The first quiz is still 20 minutes long, so it should be much easier. Adventures through Nocturne (plus Promos) is 10 minutes for the moment.
-
You know, while you're at it, it would be easier for you just to add the Renaissance cards, right? ;)
-

You are technically correct. That would have been easier. :P
EDIT: Maybe I’ll add cards as they’re previewed.
-
Updated to include the previewed cards and Projects.
-
I created a quiz like this for myself a few weeks ago, but with no costs. Should have known someone would beat me to it (by a few years)!
Thanks, LastFootnote!
-
Updated to include spoiled Renaissance names.
-
The Events/Landmarks/Projects quiz (https://www.sporcle.com/games/LastFootnote2/dominion-events-copy) now belatedly contains all Projects.
-
Added Church and Captain.
