So, there's going to be at least five months until Adventures makes it to DO (which is how I'm abbreviating Dominion Online from now on, since we can't say "Goko" anymore). A couple people have expressed interest in trying games over skype - that is, if you have Adventures, you set up the board on your end, and just have a pile where you throw the other persons's cards when they gain anything, and sift out cards when they trash. I've tried this with Beyond Awesome and Axe Knight, and it's worked pretty well, aside from trying to position webcams. So I thought starting a thread where people could post their interest and maybe their availability for playing would be a good idea. :)
So, who's interested?

I am interested in this for sure. I just ordered my copy from Funagain Games on Amazon. I missed that it said it is out of stock until Monday, so the Prime shipping shows I should get it next Thursday.
I am still hoping to find time to put together a simple board state tracker that would make the games easier to follow on a stream (and for the players playing), but haven't made much progress so far. (Maybe I should stream "C programmer attempts to learn Java Script"... it might be entertaining.)

I could try playing someone this way, though I only have my laptop's built in cam, which is probably not ideal. I also don't have the real cards and probably won't for a while, but that's less of an issue.

It depends on when the game actually gets here - if it gets here late enough I'll be playing with IRL friends all day, but if it gets here early and I have free time, I'd be happy to try it. I'll post / send you a PM if that happens.

I could play some time tonight probably (3-6 hrs from now, ball park). Curious to see how well it works. I will try seeing if I can get a good angle with the camera at some point today.
Edit: It seems to look better than I thought. Will def. give this a shot if anyone's up for it.

Are you assuming I was going to Stream it? I suppose I could try, though it may not be so hot with my connection. I have never tried to stream a streamed video.

Have adventures, but not sure about scheduling games. Also, I don't have Skype. Might be interested playing against the best players, but I'm barely above 4000. I have been playing dominion for two years, but that doesn't make me a qualified expert. But if anyone is interested in playing me and promised to not laugh so hard if I lose majorly, then I might download Skype and try this out.

I fear a stream could be a bit hard to follow, but it seems worth trying. Playing over Skype actually isn't all that hard.

I would love to watch a game of adventures being played and I'm sure many others would too. Quality honestly doesn't matter to me thatmuch. Don't bother though, if it ends up being more trouble for you than what it's worth.

I move out at the beginning of July, but until then on weekdays both of my parents will be working so I'm free all day on weekdays for the most part.

I really like to try this aswell, the German version is preordered and might be coming within 2 weeks, hopefully earlier.
I already set up a tough training schedule for my family so I can play them when Adventures eventually arrives, but that obviously doesn't replace the great opportunity to play the Dominion pros around here ;)

I'm considering playing some tonight, perhaps around 7 PM EST (Midnight GMT, I think). I got a new microphone that I hope might solve my static issue (the older one was being transmitted wirelessly + over Skype, so god help it) so I wanted to try and test it.

Depending on when my league matches happen I might be able to try this tonight 7:30-9:30 EST. how janky is it to play this way? I imagine there's lots of setting aside cards opponents use and fun stuff like that.

I'd love to, but (for those who don't want the long version, I promised my sister that I would wait for her to play any empires games) my sister hasn't been into dominion lately, and she explained that it was because my dad and I know most of the cards by heart and make very fast decisions because we (just the two of us) play so often, and it intimidates her. So I promised to wait and play at least the first two or three recommended sets with her before doing any other empires games.

They manage piles by just taking a card out and setting it aside when the opponent gains one.
