I'm curious if anyone has ever won a game in fewer than 7 turns. (Not counting quits or resigns.) I searched the logs of some of the top players and none of them had a 7-turn win.
I invented a kingdom that can win in 7 turns often... has anyone seen a kingdom that is faster than that?

Ah, the joys of autocorrect in a different language...

What's going on with your auto-correct?

I got the impression dstu's post was intentional for some reason. The fastest game between two players on a random board is 7 and a half, on a hermit-market square board between Qvist and AdamH. I've ended the game in 6 turns playing solataire on a designed kingdom.

My record is 7.5 turns. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QkPRXlV89Y)
(This is the one Lio was talking about)

Good job. I'm interested that you call it 7.5 turns. Using that system, I guess my record is 6.5 (http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?20150225/log.50e86751e4b0d990e88ce76f.1424901656753.txt).
However, I feel like I should report it as 7, because I took 7 full turns. Sometimes I use an outpost-turn after my 7th "real" turn... that's what I might call 7.5.
Anyway, definitely harder to pull off a 8-turn win with a random kingdom as you did.

You might enjoy this post I made last year about the fastest games I could find in the gokosalvager database: http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=11060.0

There was a playtest game last year that I believe ended on turn 7, with the Provinces running out. It involved no new cards. Four players; three had the 5/2 and opened with Embassy. My buys went, Embassy, nothing, Embassy, Provinces.

That is a very strange definition of "playtest" that I haven't previously seen...

No new cards because it was a test of the new game board expansion that's coming after Adventures. Playtests showed that it needed 23% more catapult.

Which is to say, there were new cards in the game, but no-one bought them. The three turn one Embassies left no time for doing anything else.

Maybe he was going to fastest-typed post!
