Courier
$2 Action
+1 Action
Look at the top 4 cards of your deck. Put one into your hand and put the other cards back on top of your deck in any order.
edit: Changed it from "reveal" to "look at".

Haven't we seen or discussed this a few times, a while ago? Or at least very similar things. I think as a whole this is a very strong effect... most certainly not a $2; probably $4 or $5. Bigger issue is that it causes a lot of AP.

This was one of Donald X.'s Prosperity Outakes; He tested a version of Herald that had this effect but costed $4 and discarded the rest. He said it was innocent I looking but crazy.
The first of what I call the "broken Heralds".

Discarding the rest is WAY stronger than putting them back. By putting the rest back, you get a lot less utility out of playing multiple Couriers.

Again, since Courier puts the cards back on top, I don't think this is very similar to demonic tutor. Looking at your next four cards is hugely different from searching through your entire deck or digging for a card.

How often would you want Pearl Diver over this?

Or in a decent number of cases you might prefer it to Sage, right?

It is probably quite a bit better than Pearl Diver in most cases, but man, Pearl Diver is such a weak card. That may be reason to bump it up to $3 though.
I'm not as concerned with the Sage comparison. Sure, sometimes it's better than Sage. But they aren't very similar. One of Sage's strengths is that it provides lots of cycling to help you play that key card lots early on. It can also be used to clear junk off of your deck from attacks. Courier doesn't do either; it provides no cycling, so if it does draw your key card, then you just have to wait that much longer before you get to play it again.

i'm not sure which card is stronger, but sage is very different. the big thing about sage is that it makes you cycle your deck faster, courier doesn't. i think it's more simillar to haven in the sense that it lets you distribute power between this turn and the next and helps you avoiding terminal collision. doesn't seem broken to me either.

The best typeface.

I'm kind of surprised nobody has suggested this card before—at any cost.
I'd be tempted to try it at $3 and/or lower the number of revealed cards to 3. I'm not sure why. Just my gut instinct. It does look better than Pearl Diver, Vagrant, etc, but that's not necessarily a problem.
I definitely think it's worth testing.

Well that's a good point about Sage, I wasn't thinking of Sage's cycling, but just it's action of finding a card in your deck.
But seeing and reorganizing the top of your deck can be pretty helpful as well, for the obvious synergies (Wishing Well, Mystic, Herald, Golem, Doctor, Vagrant, Pawn, etc.). So you could argue that this also gets a card you want (if you were going to get it next turn) and does something else.
Maybe $3 is a good price to try it.

The actual card will be printed in Comic Sans. Some people just like to watch the world burn.

Yeah, the reorganization definitely has combo potential and that was intended. Yet my experience is that those combos generally aren't fruitful as they look on paper. Scout, Apothecary, Cartographer, and Herald for example. But those cards are more expensive, especially Apothecary, Cartographer, and Herald (overpaying on top of $4). I do agree with both you and Lastfootnote that is likely better either at $3 or only looking at 3 cards.
