If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it. Unless your new rating is going to get you into the top half of signups (which, considering the skill of most players here, is unlikely for a new player) then you'll just end up in the lowest leagues.
And this is coming from someone whose level has increased significantly since the date the league was taken (having barely played ranked online in the few months leading up to the tournament).
How can we verify that our 1-month old rating is ok? I do not have a copy of the Leaderboard (I can say it looks like mine it could be ok, but I have no idea). Besides, is there a reason to use such an old rating instead of the one of the day signups close or similar?

Your ranking won't be off by one or two. If it went wrong, I mixed up usernames. For example, I had myself ranked #2668 initially because my script mixed me up with "Stef Morris".
I announced the date upfront and promised to use these rankings, that's the main reason for using them now.
The signups take a little longer then I initially planned (due to gokodom taking longer) and also I don't think it matters that much. It's not as though my list is ancient, it's just one month old.

If you're looking for a reason for my recent drop in Pro Rating, it's because almost all of the pro games I've played in the past month have been against Nick (dethwing) who is pretty vastly underrated and has been beating me quite a lot recently -- I suspect he's gotten much better recently.
It also might have something to do with the fact that I don't have a problem just resigning pro games before turn 1 to make things easier on my stream, or something like that.
Ratings aren't important to me, so I don't make any effort to inflate mine. I'd say an iso-level of about 40 is where I'd sit if I cared about my rating, but I don't. I just want to play the game and get better at it.
What is DG doing in division D? He had a killer gokodom performance. His isotropish score is apparently 47.37±34.60, which I guess means he plays very well but not very often? I think he should be a division above me, not a division below me.

My rating has been that way for a long time, even going back to isodoms when isotropic was still going. The league will sort itself out over time.
yes, even the isotropish leaderboard is pretty swingy.
I dropped from iso level 45 to level 35 within a couple of hours.
The average is probably somewhere in the middle.

You need to look at the full leaderboard. It is much less swingy. The default leaderboard you normally see is the "games in the last month" board, which is much more swingy (and also tracks goko better, actually).

Your isotropish level is not any different between full or partial leaderboard. The partial leaderboard only displays players who have played at least one eligible game in the last month, both boards use the same collection of games for the skill measurement.
Also, can we pin the division seedings in it's own thread? Page 4 of the signups is kind of a random place to have them, even if it is tentative.It is not the final seeding. Stef just wanted to answer a question.

I've begun to realise that I have some serious internet issues at the moment. I have a possible solution in mind I'm going to try out which I expect will fix things, but if I can't get that to work, I may need to drop out since I'll end up probably disconnecting from quite a few games.

He's talking (I think) about the fact that the scheduling threads really clutter up the "unread posts" page if you keep up with the forum that way. It's annoying because you can only ignore entire boards or sub-boards (to stop them from displaying in unread posts), but not specific threads themselves (if someone knows of a way, please speak up!). It just makes it harder to follow the Dominion League threads that are "important".

What I've done is ignore this board but subscribe to the A group thread using the "Notify" function at the top right. This way none of the threads will show up under unread posts, but I'll get an e-mail notification when there are unread posts.
Stef could potentially "fix" the problem by creating a separate subforum for each group so that you can ignore all but your own. However, that's a lot of work and I'm not even sure whether it would be an improvement overall.
