Title: Isotropic on iPad
Post by: Maxwell on November 20, 2011, 10:23:41 am
Hi, I regularly use my iPad to play on Isotropic. This works perfectly except for one detail. Reorganizing cards after playing deck inspection cards isn't possible bc there is no mouse. I hope to see an alternative card sorting mechanism that would make this possible.

Thanks for the great work. I really love Isotropic. I first played the board game a few was ago and loved it. Found isotropic soon after. So Donald X, thanks to Isotropic I will surely buy all the expansions in the coming months!

Anyone who can comment on this?

Here's a game where not being able to sort my deck got me in big trouble. See my turn 13 and the second to last apothecary I play that turn.

I can comment.  I have no involvement in isotropic and have no credibility, but this is what I've heard.

Q: Why isn't the guy who made isotropic making the commercial version?
A: He didn't want the job and in any case wasn't going to be doing versions for more platforms

So I'd guess he's not interested in ipad support, and you're out of luck until the official version is released.

Are you using an iPad 2? On my iPad 1 I always eventually get disconnected from the server. My Isotropic rating actually took a hit from that, with all the forfeits.

I use an iPad 1 to play quite frequently, and I haven't gotten disconnected. At least not in a long time. A while back I would lose connection from time to time, but just refreshing the page always seemed to fix it just fine. Have you upgraded to iOS 5? The interface, and disconnects, improved a bit after that.
