Thx for the games, I think I got pretty lucky and certainly shouldn't have won without you winning a game.
Did you make videos of these games btw?
One of the most fun and tense games I ever had. I recommend watching this series against PitrPicko. Thanks for the great games, he was a great opponent.

Result for Kirian or anyone who wants to spoil themselves: I won 3-2
Commentary tomorrow as I now have to go sleep.
This game illustrates why I love not having a point counter: the uncertainty! the suspense! the headache-inducing second guessing! I thought I was ending the game on a tie, but somehow miscounted and found myself one point ahead for the win. 60-61.
Results of kn1tt3r vs. Polk5440: 3-3 DRAWThis was a fun one with an unfortunate ending for me. Probably I didn't build up enough and choked badly in the end. I actually was somewhat certain that this last Duchy would be his win, since I was counting and trying to keep track of the score. Probably not optimally played by both of us, but fun nevertheless.
Game 1:

Ruins, Adventurer, Bureaucrat, and Moat are bad cards, right? This game may be the exception. kn1tt3r goes first and opens Cultist/Moat to my Silver/Silver and for a while it's downhill from there for me. I lose the Ruins split 4-6 due to the rediculously good timing of his Moat. We both transition to Fairgrounds, which makes my 4 different Ruins a plus. I pick up a Bureaucrat turn 10. I actually think the Silvers from this card is what won it for me late -- even though I never landed the attack because of... MOAT!! Grrr. I pick up an Adventurer turn 12. Ok, that was a mistake. It does nothing for me but add variety, and should have been a Tactician, probably (or even Gold or Fairgrounds). The endgame was attrocious to calculate.

Game 2:In retrospect I think the Silk Roads haven't been such a great idea, but the Talisman-Silvers kept my deck running. I presume this goes down to first player advantage.

Well, hmmm. I am not sure how this game got away from me so quickly. Courtyard-big money for both of us. I augmented with Trader, he with Talisman. We both pick up a Noble Brigand, as well. I thought he was picking up Silk Roads too early, but then late they helped him solidify a lead. So I guess I ignored Duchies and Silk Roads for too long? 42-33
Game 3:I actually thought his one was lost for me, but in the end I had some good draws and he didn't, so that's that. I'm really not so sure my strategy was better, I probably was just a little bit more lucky.

Now this is really interesting: Steward, Rats, Forge, and Market Square. Wandering Minstral, Cartographer, Harvest, Secret Chamber, and Tunnel. Great Hall rounds it out. This is a great tournament kingdom. Too bad I freak out and keep it too simple: Steward and Market Squares galore. While I get a lead early, he correctly utilized Cartographer, Wandering Minstral, and Tunnel (but maybe buying them too early?) to provide longevity for the deck, as well. Tunnels for points late clog my deck up too much. He rightly wins. 32-28
Game 4:Great game by him, though my start was a bit unfortunate (and 5-2 is not exactly great if want to go Amb). With 2 Ambs I drew CCEEE and after that (if I remember correctly) AACCC. But yeah, very well done by him and a deserved win.

This is a game of which I am really proud: Ambassador was NOT the key card, for once. We both have 5-2. I open Harvest, he Ambassador. My goal is variety: Harvest and HoP. I get my one and only Ambassador on the first shuffle, he gets a second. There's enough trashing that I can set up Border Village/Apprentice drawing large hands, consistently turning HoPs into Provinces, and buying some more for the win. 23-38
Game 5:Not a lot to say. IW/SR, first player, win.

Ironworks, Hermit, Silk Road rush. I still suck at these rushes. He correctly uses Hermit to grab some early Silvers and a Madman while I try to get cute gaining Estates. Instead, I get clogged and lose. 28-13
Ok, it's 3-2, but he started game 1 so it's on to game 6!
Game 6:Hm... I don't really know what made the difference here. Maybe his Workshop providing lots of Shanty Towns and Oracles, which made his deck a lot more reluctant to greening...? But I also felt (after quite a lead) I had some bad luck in the end with 2-3 dead hands, but well... maybe this was also a result of me not having build up enough.

This board was a disaster waiting to happen. It could have gone either way several times. I get a Workshop while he doesn't. I want to gain lots of Shanty Towns and Oracles to build a little engine until I get some KCs going. I make a mistake getting Province instead of KC early, but still win, 39-28.
So, 3-3 Draw. This was a fantastic series of games. Great, kingdoms, too. Too bad the games weren't recorded. :(. Thanks kn1tt3r for the match. I am hoping both of us can make it into the knockout round still, so we can continue the battle!Yeah, great match, and sorry I couldn't record. I'm currently on a sort-of-holiday in Colombia and had to use my GF's laptop. But at least we were in the same time zone, which made it far more easier to agree on a date than being 7 hours apart.

Cellar, Herbalist, Squire, Cutpurse, Militia, Band of Misfits, Counting House, Treasury, Upgrade, Vault
A heavy cursing board where i shuffle very unlucky and get my first 5$ in turn 6
So i lost the curse split badly and the game rather close with 27 - 31

First, I was surprised, where curses might've come from. Then I thought, it might've been you cursing your bad luck. Then only I realised you hadn't changed the cards from first game's setup.
Hey, you 2! Upvoting back and force? :-P

Thanks for the games, it was pretty tense. All four games were very close, and I feel like this match could have easily gone either way.
