wall is frustrating when it causes certain alt-vp strategies to be unplayable, but other than that, it's a nice little constraint to play around. Buy trashers! They're also good for other reasons.

I agree. It's way more fun than say Gang of Pickpockets, which is just extra clicking, and Cathedral which is too one dimensional and centralizing.
You just have to know how to play around Wall by buying fewer, higher-value cards that are worth having in your deck in the long run, as every extra card is basically a curse.

I like it too. My best guess as to why it gets banned so often is that it's a feels-bad thing for newer players.

In certain situations, Wall is not too different from Tomb.

Makes some thematic sense as well. Necropolis is a village, hence tomb is walls.

I don't like it because it makes things that are already strong (junking and trashing) even stronger. It's good for second guessing "nice to have" cantrips I suppose.
On my banlist, primarily for the "feels bad" factor as Commodore Chuckles says.
