Title: Goko down... for 10-15 hours???

Apparently, Goko is doing some apparently great repair, so won't be available for 10-15 hours. Seriously, that's a long time, it had better be worth it- not expecting it will be though.

When it's done, you won't see very many visible changes, but under the hood a lot will be different, which will give us a much better framework for making fixes and improvements.
It sounds like it won't be "worth it" until later.

So, what about people who could only schedule Gokodom matches for today?

Kirian is extending the current round by a full week.

Yeah. The whole "routine maintenance" thing is total BS. Shifting your entire server to new hardware while shutting down the site for a day without warning anyone is not "routine maintenance."

Well, I was thinking about that, and I think if anything is routine maintenance, this is. A web server shouldn't need weekly maintenance or anything, so this is about as "routine" as it gets. Non-routine maintenance is when it crashes and needs emergency maintenance.

Still, "planned maintenance" would be a better descriptor.

I feel like routine has to be on some sort of schedule and something you do regularly. I hope this doesn't happen regularly. I agree though that this is more "routine" than when their server just completely crashed.

Considering that it was planned it's pretty irritating that they didn't give more warning.

Good progress so far -- the migration is still on track to complete within our original estimate.
Wow, we may play our GokoDom match in 6 hours.

They went down around 9 AM EST.  So we're now on hour 13.  I don't think we'll see any action before tomorrow afternoon EST.

I can't even log in. My email or password is no longer valid. Resetting the password doesn't work.

Instead playing Dominion this morning, I signed up for the third help forum that's been associated with Online Dominion and posted a complaint.

I also cannot log in.  It says, "Invalid email or password."  Guess they still got some work to do!  LOL

It is not even possible to play as a guest. Game is not connecting to websocket server. It falled down even on new hardware...

This was happening before too. Maybe the whole update was just to the the Making Fun logo on? I guess it's more Hearthstone and Civ for me while goko is down.

"Great repair"? I sure hope Goko isn't saying that they're not going to let anyone log in as a result of that fix. Second time this week that's happened to me, never experienced anything like it before, not being able to log in. Man I HATE IT when this happens!!!!  ??? ??? >:( >:( >:( :'( :'( :'( :'( :-\

AI is working to fix it and I think has been successful though is still working out some kinks (I haven't tried it myself yet). Check out the salvager thread(s) for more info.
