Myers Briggs personality types
« on: June 18, 2013, 10:20:52 pm »

I was thinking recently about how I post on the internet might seem different than how I talk irl.  So, I had an idea: having people try to guess my personality type (and others as well, if others want to) with the Myers Briggs personality thingamabob.  I'll say what mine is in a bit.

So, if anybody wants to try to guess mine, or others want to say theirs, I guess this is the thread for it.

P.S.: THINGAMABOB IS A WORD TOO?!?

I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum has the same personality type.

I can't take those personality tests accurately because I bias them towards what I want.

That probably says a lot about your personality type.

INTP is a good guess for sudgy.

I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum has the same personality type.
I was surprised by the large amount of variety on MTGSalvation a few years ago, T was really the only letter that was very dominant if memory serves me right. We probably have lots of different personalities here, too, even though this forum is much smaller than MTGS.

I'm ISTP.

I'm ENTP, but I am split almost exactly down the middle on extraverted/introverted as well as thinking/feeling.

Now I'm getting curious, what is giving you all the INTP impression?

I don't remember exactly what mine is, but I know a while ago when doing it I kept getting surprised and confused by one of the letters - I think it was something to do with acting on feeling more than logic, or something, which seemed odd to me. But in personal situations, I can believe it nowadays.

Maybe I'll have a look at one again some time...

But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

We're all INTP and figure it's the safest bet.

Isn't Myers Briggs considered about as scientific as horoscopes, these days?

Um, no, not that I've heard.  It's helped explain how "weird" I've seen other people act (weird in relation to how I am).  Ns and Fs being the big ones.

Oops, I just gave away some of it.  Ah well, I'm an ISTJ.

You're almost the exact same as me -- I was ESTJ, but my E/I scores were really close together!

Yep.  The only thing different for me is that I don't -always- finish things I start on my own, but that's probably because my J isn't the strongest thing ever (~70%).
