I suppose you might be forced into it if you are really struggling to find work, but aside from being in a really bad situation, I can't imagine that someone would just think to get a job that has nothing to do with their own field just because it might be easier to find a job that way.I mean, I'm a computer programmer. I have almost 10 years of professional expertise in that field, as well as a college degree (worthless, except that lots of companies require it). Sure I could go get a job doing something other than programming... I'd make probably half as much as I should be making, and wouldn't be increasing my level of experience or expertise in the field I'm actually in...
