Nope, with Inn you shuffle your draw pile. Deck = draw pile + discard pile.
Nope, they're separate - AJD is correct. Deck and discard pile are two discrete sets. Take a look at the Dominion rulebook, bottom of page 5. Also take a look at Philosopher's Stone ("When you play this, count your deck
and discard pile." Deck and Discard Pile are two different things.) So seems to me you should at least get to reposition Stashes currently in your deck when you shuffle the deck upon playing Inn.
The rules sheet on bgg says
"Whenever you shuffle your deck, you can choose where in your deck each copy of Stash that you have goes."
I'd liberally read this as whenever you use Inn, you can take all your Stashes (deck & discard) and place them where you like. But I doubt this was the intention...
The uncertainty is whether the phrase "each copy of Stash that you have" means "each copy of Stash that you have
in your Deck." Man, if it doesn't, you could have the even more mindbending scenario of Stashes getting reshuffled into your Deck
directly from play. You don't even need Inn (or Black Market) to do this. Consider:
- Your hand is 4 Ventures and a Stash. No other treasure in your deck or discard pile.
- You play Stash, then Venture. Your Venture digs through your deck and finds nothing, triggering a reshuffle. But hey, you have a Stash! It's right there on the table! And you're shuffling your deck! So you get to pick where the Stash goes in your deck! And the Venture hits it. Hooray!
- Now you play your next Venture. Lather, rinse, repeat. And then again. And again one more time.
That's wringing $10 out of a single Stash in a single turn. This just
can't be right.
