I would do Buffalo, (New York) I think before America. They get pretty severe Winters.

What do you like as the third choice? I think well, dragon and Buffalo (agreed) are all comparable.

I think I like circling back to Castle/Revolution for Cannonball. I also agree with Dragon for the third Ice. Buffalo for fourth.

Assuming all of those are correct, we’ll be one short still... and the last word DEFINITELY fits Cannonball, and maybe ALSO fits Ice...

So... America, for the combination of American Revolution?

And that’s one too many, isn’t it?

For Cannonball: 4 - Pirate, Revolution, Castle, America
For Ice: 5 - Himalayas, Roof, Dragon... Castle/America?

The extra word here is Buffalo, which I like better for Ice than America, but can’t pair with Cannonball well.

Haha, confused me too. I think I like this order. Dragon has me somewhat worried, it's the kind of connection he'd totally overlook if it wasn't our word.. Of course with such a big clue it's very difficult to tie everything anyway. I think this is a fine order.

9 Needed:
Smaller (2): Dwarf, Worm
Cannonball (4): Pirate,
Ice (5): Himalayas, Roof,

There are likely two overlap words for Cannonball and Ice. If there weren’t, Swan could’ve said Ice (3) or Ice (4). I don’t believe Himalayas or Roof fit there. That means of the final 4 words, 2 double up, and 1 from each category is unique.

Possible words for Cannonball (Need 3): Revolution, Castle, America... ?
Possible words for Ice (Need 3): Dragon, Well, Buffalo, America...?

I think that strengthens America. I like Dragon as the unique word for Ice. I like Revolution for the unique word for Cannonball.

Do you think Cattle can be a shared word for Cannonball/Ice?

Gang, I have a confession. I was trying to do the illegal Base/Bass thing. I'll remember for next time.

If Roof hadn't been handed to me, I was going to try "Tin" for the final clue. Curious as to if that would have worked. Also if I hadn't gotten "car" for free I was going to do Siren 3 for [ROOF, CAR, COPPER] (playing on the double meaning of Copper). In retrospect, that would have been a great starting clue for Note and Pitch as well, a legit fiver.
