Hey everyone! Just a quick post here because we're in the middle of a 7-person game of Cosmic Encounter! The meetup has gone better than I possibly could have imagined. I'll have more photos from today up later (probably Monday or later), but for now, here's a picture of what's going on right now:

clockwise starting with green shirt: liopoil, a non-f.ds member, Axxle, TA, and EFHW. Not pictured: mcmc (getting a refill) and Voltaire (taking this picture)

Fun facts from this game: Axxle is a parasite, and TA and I agreed to Negotiate instead of him getting me that beer from the blitz game.

We made it home. Had a great time today, hope a repeat event can happen some day. Props to Adam bailing me out after failing to bring my sets.

Leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again, but it was fun!

Dominion, Cosmic, Avalon, Hanabi, Room 55, and a whole bunch of other games were played. Great fun with great people.

The venues that Voltaire got were great, and it looked like everyone had an incredible time. It was cool putting a face and body to a bunch of you. It seems like meet was a great first success.

If anyone finds themselves in San Diego, look me up!

On the serious side, the fiancé and I have decided to crash at her place at purdue rather than try to drive all the way home tonight, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow until you can see the video.
