I'm certain that I made that troll quote and posted it in this thread. Finding the actual original post sounds hard though.

That sounds entirely reasonable to believe.

But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

Ok so I came up with a way to find it that was easier than I thought. (instead of clicking "All" and waiting for my browser to load the hundreds of images, just curled the "All" url and found the first post containing that image url)

I can't take credit for this one, but found it accidentally while looking for the advisor meme on quickmeme. It's titled "Dominion Trollquote" so yeah.

@Tables I named it "Bad Dominion Advisor".

@mjb you could also just visit the Print page.  curling is more stylish, I suppose.

What was the context in which Donald made that Hunting Party quote?  Like is there a link to a forum somewhere?

It's a trollquote, which means none of the three things are linked.  The quote is from, I believe, either theory or rrenaud.  See also:

The quote is from theory, found the blog post: http://dominionstrategy.com/2011/04/21/cornucopia-spoilers-from-the-gathering-initial-thoughts/

Theory's thoughts on Remake and Menagerie are pretty amusing as well.

Yeah, so you get a turn 3 or 4 Possession:
Possible with opponents Councilroom or Soothsayer or with a Baker on the board.

It's also possible with a Potion/Courtyard opening, if your opponent buys an Embassy.

In this case Potion/Silver is also possible.

A, and here I thought it was because he actually looked like a troll in that picture.  I didn't know the concept of troll quote; thanks.

It would be a Scumbag move if he had another Village and didn't have to show his hand, but he's showing his hand just to spite you and give you a false hope that he might misplay it.  And now if you do have a Curse in your hand you have to consider whether or not to discard it and have a playable 3 card hand or keep it for Mountebank and only play with 2 cards.

In this thread I described two ways of getting a turn 3 Possession solo, pre-Guilds.

I felt this was the case for most of them, to be honest.
