well, the second part of the sentence is definitely wrong. it might have been a misplay. that's to be determined.

Not exactly related.  I am not suggesting we claim any items.  So round claiming doesn't provide that set of unknown information to first rounders.

Do you have information that makes round claiming bad? It feels like you instead had information that made second round item availability claim bad, which is different.

I’m also not sure how MiX has this certain of a cayvie-o meter after one game when she was town and he was not.

I was reading people too (which was necessary to see who was what PR) and I noticed cayvie was unbelievably towny. Which is the opposite of this game, at least now.

can ANYBODY explain to me why it's so important that we don't let scum know which items (of totally unverified functionality) are not claimed??

That seems like a super absurd premise that everybody is completely fine accepting.
