better deck: highway, highway, KC, KC, smugglers, native village. Now you get 3 copies. This is a kingdom with no +buy or attacks.

I PLAY FESTIVAL, THRONE ROOM ON BRIDGE, SMUGGLERS AND NATIVE VILLAGE, SETTING ASIDE THE CARD I JUST GAINED BY SMUGGLERS. NOW EVERY TURN I GAIN A COPY OF ANY CARD YOU COULD BUY UNTIL THE END OF THE GAME.

it's edge case o'clock! you wouldn't be able to smuggle colonies, platinum, and potion cost cards

How will he beat Leo if Leo is in lead?

He Smuggles the last Province to tie and then buys a Duchy to steal the lead!  (Except when you replace Festival with Crossroads he only has $2 and the Duchy costs $3.  But let's say he King's Courts the Bridge instead of Thrones it.)

Damn. Yeah, Crossroads would work better  :P
But also note that the last turn, he can put in hand all the cards from the native village mat...

You need a trasher to get down to that deck. So unless the other player takes bishop you can't get there, and even then you'll be behind in VP if he does.

The trasher is on the native village mat.

Edit: Heck, you don't even need a trasher. Native village ALL the cards.

But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

Yeah, no trasher needed.  NV-Bridge is self-sufficient.

Yep, give NV/Bridge (only) a try, if you haven't ever before. It really doesn't take anything else, and it's a remarkably quick megaturn deck. Turn 12 all-Province piledrives aren't uncommon with it, and even worst-case it'll still be ready to buy 8 VP cards by turn 15-16.

Edit: it is hard to speed up, as well. With Throne Room I've done a turn 11 piledrive once or twice, but you also have a slightly better chance of slowing the deck down, too (e.g. by playing too many TR + NV's, rather than TR + Bridges). Workshop in the mix can net more total VP, but doesn't actually speed up the megaturn at all.

It's a trasher.  A trasher is not needed.  You don't need a trasher. :)

So I have no trasher and I'm almost there. My hand is Crossroads, Throne Room, Smugglers, Native Village, Copper. Bridge is on top of my deck and everything else is on the NV mat.

Ok, now I... um... wait, what is it I do next?

Here, I'll show you how it's done.

So my hand is Crossroads, Throne Room, Native Village, Forager, and Copper. Bridge and Smugglers are on top of my deck and everything else is on the NV mat.

Ok, now I play Forager on the Copper and then I... um... wait, are you sure you don't want to buy a Bishop?

Isn't the correct counter to, you know, buy more than one thing a turn?

Or buy Colonies

Or play out your Goons/Bishop/Monument engine. Or just have 1 Estate in your deck to begin with so that your opponent will lose if he mirrors your buys.

Or buy a curse with Watchtower every turn!  Better yet, Bishop.

Edit: Oh no I got it better.  Strip your deck down to Native Village, Armory, Cantrip and Ambassador and gain *and* give them a Curse every turn.  It's more spiteful that way.
