Is a person from Xebec a Xebecois?

A Xebec is a ship with three masts.

My soda/pop/coke Teacher post has equal respect with 4 Teacher posts about Dominion combined in one post.  FOUR!

Do you think Miner calls it Soda and Minter calls it Pop?

Well, either would be harmful to minors.

*sigh* Typical f.ds. Explaining the joke gets more upvotes than the joke itself.. :P

My hope is that this prompts Donald to make cards in the next expansion with names starting with X and Z.  So, expect either a Xylophonist or a Xebec!

EDIT: Or perhaps a xenium!  Or perhaps a xenocracy?  Maybe a xoanon!  Or xylomancy...

West Xylophone?

Guide doesn't let you reorder the cards if you keep them, though. Or technically you're allowed to reorder them as much as you want, it just doesn't actually benefit you.

No, they really don't. Navigator affects the next turn, Guide affects the current turn. Guide is whenever you want at the start of any turn.

No, they really don't. Navigator affects the next turn, Guide affects the current turn. Guide is whenever you want at the start of any turn.

I play Navigator, look at the next five cards, and either put them back or discard them.  Since it's terminal, those five will usually be the next five I draw.  Or I can decide to try for the next five.

I play Guide, it goes on my mat.  Next turn, I look at my next five cards, and can either keep them, or discard them, trying for the next five.

How is this not the same thing?  Yes, there are differences - Guide can protect from handsizes and be saved for a while, Navigator can reorder.  But they're both looking at (normally) five cards, and deciding to keep them or take the next five.

So basically, Navigator is just a stupid card.

Navigator is also a terminal silver.  You could ignore that, but that's kind of a big deal.  Guide can't whiff.  At worst, you can get stuck playing it in a borderline situation.  You could ignore that too, but that's also kind of a big deal.

Also, Lost Arts + Gear is two Havens in a row, sort of but not really.

EDIT: I mean, if we can just ignore "+$2" once per card if we feel like it, then Cache is just three Coppers for the low, low price of $5...  And if we can ignore "+1 card, +1 action" whenever we feel like it, then Laboratory is actually just a Ruined Library.....

I have to wonder how Dave Brubeck would have felt about this...

My understanding was that he was pretty open-minded about stuff, and that if you aren't open to evolution as a Jazz musician, then ur doin it rong.  This probably would've made his day though:

I don't know if it was any different in the books, but the TV series didn't make it look like he had any options, and no one thought Joffrey would go rogue (even though, you know, 20/20 hindsight).  Everyone thought Ned was going to the wall.

Extra spoiler level, read at your own risk: He's not talking about Ned.

Well, now I'm all kinds of confused.  Tywin was at most two out of four...  So yeah, no clue.  Hasn't happened yet?
