If I overthink this, I could come up with half a dozen. How nerve-wracking.

But I'm going to go with pin.

And then pass if I'm correct.

Well, considering that the other team only has one left...

Is this game over? Since technically, there is no rule that says you can't use the word itself as a clue, if a team is next and has only 1 left, it should be unlosable

There is a rule that says you can't use the word. Incidentally, I think there's also a rule against clues like rhyme.

Lab

Which I presume is what you were getting at with pants, but lab pants was not a concept familiar to me, so I didn't want to risk it.

oh, there is

Quote
Your clue must be about the meaning of the words. You can't use your clue to talk about the letters in aword or its position on the table. Gland is not a valid clue for ENGLAND. You can't tie BUG, BED, and BOW together with aclue like b: 3 nor with a clue like three: 3

but I'd argue the rules you explained in the thread are valid for this game, since we signed up before you gave a link to the full rules.

I think the spymaster has the more important role, so I'd take most of the responsibility for our loss.

I spent quite a bit of time staring at portfolio, buffalo, Europe, rock, lock and trying to figure out how to do it with just 2 clues. Eventually I decided the best shot was to use rhyme for rock & lock; and a mixture between close and similar for portfolio & buffalo, and hope you would infer Europe from the Hitler clue (and because it's close to portfolio and buffalo).

Hitler was really what broke our neck... I thought that was the only area in history that I'm decently familiar with, but I still have no clue how it relates to eagle, so apparently not :/

was really fun though! and it even got kinda close in the end.

I was convinced Brazil was the second word for Hitler, so when Xerxes said piranha, I panicked. I wanted to make sure I got one word correct before gambling on Brazil. It really wasn't that much of a gamble; Brazil fit piranha much better than Hitler did, especially with alternatives like Europe and bomb.

Also, I realized that silverspawn is younger and might not have heard those conspiracy theories or seen Boys from Brazil. So yeah, there I go overthinking it again.

Yeah... never heard of them. I looked at every word and thought the only two options would be Europe and Bomb, and since Bomb is neutral, It'd have been fine, pacofv could have flipped Europe during the next turn.

I think this is the official waiting list:
http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=14004.0

And it depends on how much effort Watno is willing to go through to accommodate us. He's a good sport, but I wouldn't want to take advantage of him.

I wonder if I could create a Google spreadsheet to randomize the words. *ponder*

That's a good point.

Actually "research" was a little dicey because that could apply to the assassin. Fortunately, "lab" has a much stronger connection to "research," and Xerxes trusted me to not screw it up. I'm glad I didn't let him down.

I already wrote a java program with an interface to randomize words.

If you give me a good list of words that I can parse then I can share it. Right now I only have a list of german words, and it's not a great one either.

The full rules are linked in the sign-up post, but I guess I shoudl have made that more clear.
