I could view the hero stuff fine but the villian files were cranky with me. Might be better on my own computer later.

Then Tempest I shall be.

Also, I might be accessing the forum while I don't have much access to the Google doc (since it's identified as a site where you could upload files at work). So I might rely on Theorel to roll for me.

Fortunately, I have a phone, so I may be able to do some randomization during break times.

There's actually a couple on environment cards that could work in our favor, the velociraptor packs will almost always be targeting omnitron's minions.

The velociraptor packs can't kill omnitron himself though

Note: the Game 2 Spreadsheet linked at the top of the first post has all information for this game. (These 5 heroes, Omnitron, and Insula Primalis)

Okay, I'll get this started tonight, with this order, unless you guys decide differently:

Vis, Bunk, Temp, Wraith, Ra.

I'm gonna use Enlighten on myself.  Sorry to be selfish, but everyone else got a Power in their hand except me and that seems important to set up early.

Our intrepid heroes received word of some strange electronic readings coming from the savage Insula Primalis. Immediately they set out to investigate...what electronics could survive in such a place, and what could be producing so much power?

Arriving, they found a massive robotics factory, in the process of manufacturing something.  Two drones flew out from the factory, one hovering near it while the other charged at the heroes.  Then as the heroes stood amazed, it morphed itself into a giant robot, smashing through the trees towards them.  The charging drone meanwhile hit the mighty God of the Sun right off his feet..

Start of Turn!
Omnitron flips.

Play!
Omnitron plays a Series 85 Repair Drone

End of Turn!
Omnitron plays a Series 83 Assault Drone
The Repair drone restores 0 HP to Omnitron (full health)
The Assault Drone attacks Ra for 3 melee damage.

Remember, all Devices (which includes Omnitron) take 1 less damage this turn.

So, @pops: you're up.
For everyone who's uncertain (not sure how experienced everyone is with the game this time around)
Turn consists of: Start of Turn, Play a Card, Use a Power, Draw a Card, End of Turn.  You may optionally skip playing a card or using a power, if you skip both you draw an extra card.

When drawing cards for any reason use the [ roll ] tag with 1dX as specified on character sheet/summary.  If you need to draw multiple cards just roll for all of them at once (i.e. [ roll ]1d36x2[ /roll ] without the spaces)
If you roll doubles, just reroll each occurrence AFTER the first (keep the first one).  (technically it's fine to reroll all duplicates every time, but if you do this you have to do it EVERY time, no switching back and forth between the two methods).

so do I roll two d36s now? Do I have to count from the beginning of the visionary deck character sheet to figure out what cards I actually got, skipping the ones that I have drawn already? This sounds difficult..

You already have your starting hand, at the top of your tab in the spreadsheet. Typically, you'll only draw one card on your turn, and in that case you simply roll 1d[decksize]. Theorel will list our current deck size in each update. If you have to draw more than one card, just roll 1d[decksize] twice and reroll if you get doubles. Theorel will update your hand or you can peek at what you drew from the deck on your spreadsheet as well.

I never saw Visionary as a power-heavy hero. She only has three powers in her deck. Bunker usually needs a build-up, but he has Recharge Mode in his starting hand, so that's lucky. Looks like we have some pretty good opening hands, though I have a couple that will be useful later.

As a point of bookkeeping, could the summary posts include the player names too?

Then I wanna play Precognition. Everyone seems to have some good setup in their hand, so I just want to make sure the Villian doesn't wipe everyone's equipment or set up something that's tough to deal with right away.

I think it would be a good idea to just leave the drones alive for now.  If we kill them they just revive, and they don't do that much until there's a bunch of em.  And one of them is healing omnitron back up to full so if we don't hit omnitron either it's all the goodness.  We can do setups this turn and wipe next turn.

Note that you play a card first, then use your power.  (so you can't play the card you drew, and technically you would have had the information from the villain deck before you decided which card to keep).

Also, as soon as you're comfortable with it, you should do all of your own randomization...that way you can make your decisions without waiting for me or whoever owns the deck you're looking at.   The Villain Deck is set up just like the player decks, so it has the die roll at the top of the column, and then you look up the roll in the table below.

(I'll just note that the number after the hyphen is just for my convenience in maintaining the spreadsheet, you can ignore it).

So, anyways, the three cards from the Villain Deck are:
Rolled 1d23 : 20, total 20
Rolled 1d23 : 2, total 2
Rolled 1d23 : 20, total 20

So, cards drawn from Villain Deck are:
Technological Singularity, Adaptive Plating Subroutine, Electro-Magnetic Railgun

I choose Adaptive Plating Subroutine.  I feel confident we can work around it.

I think I should roll to draw a card at end of the turn, but I'm not 100% sure about it and I don't think it would be holding the game up so I will wait and see if I am actually supposed to.

yep, roll for end of turn draw.  (You can roll, or if you don't I'll roll in the next little bit)
