In. Not all sets.
Kirian, you should have changed your avatar to Spice Merchant for this text.

You are totally correct! I'll change it back likely after signups are done.

In. All sets + Governor + Envoy
Just as a question, if we can't make a game because of lack of time, do we auto forfeit? I'm guessing all the rules are on the gokodomII thread.
82 in :)
I really would like to take part of this! ^^I think it states somewhere in the rules that players without sets are given a special indicator and players with sets are given another indicator. Efforts are made to match players who have no sets with players who do.
Unfortunately i got no set :(

And playing Base-only might be good for Marin, since Throne Room is that much more likely to be in the kingdom :)
In, Base only. What r the rules?

Does he not like Throne Room?
Hey, Kirian is there a different schedule or any mods to the rules from GokoDom2?In, Base only. What r the rules?
The rules are here (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=7828.0)
We will start in 3 weeks, on 10 February. Signups will be open until 07 February at 00:00 EST. We will use almost the same rules we used in GokoDom II, as they seemed to work out well. Expect to play seven total rounds, plus more if you get into the playoffs.
1) what is the schedule? Each week 1 round, starting at 10th February. Number of rounds depends of # of participans, see rules.
2) who am I playing first? You need to wait before sign-ups are over, then after some time Kirian will post pairings for the 1st round.

Although Kirian said he would cap the number of players at 128 and we're well past 64 sign-ups so we're pretty much confirmed for 7 rounds/weeks.
BTW, any specific reason to cap signups on 128? I know that with more we can have more than one player win all matches if 7 rounds are played, but with a cutoff to top 16 and single elimination round I don't think this causes any problem.Although Kirian said he would cap the number of players at 128 and we're well past 64 sign-ups so we're pretty much confirmed for 7 rounds/weeks.
Yes; we currently have 102 signups, so definitely 7 weeks.

For the record, regarding the addon:
(1) You are strongly encouraged to use the addon.
(2) The default is #vpoff; the point counter portion of the addon is like sex: Turn it on only if both players specifically consent, and ideally work out consent beforehand so there's no pressure at game time.

If the other person doesn't want point counter, can I write down scores on a piece of paper while I play? I would assume not, but I want to check.

You're saying #vpoff is for wankers? :P

I'm in. I don't have any expansions on Goko, though. Is this a problem?
I've never done anything like this before so I have a n00b question:
- How will I get notified of the dates/times of any games I'm in?
Dates aren't set, you have a week to set up a match with your opponent, sending them a message through the forum's the easiest.
I am interested and have no sets. Also, as of late, in case you haven't noticed, I haven't been really checking the forums or playing much goko. Is there anyway I could get stuff e-mailed to me so I don't miss out by accident on my weekly matchup?

Don't you have the forum sent to email you links to your PMs?
I think you can make f.ds send you an email when you get a PM.

Hm that should be helpful. I vaguely remember seeing that somewhere.I think you can make f.ds send you an email when you get a PM.
Yeah, that was a pretty easy thing to fix. I'm a doofus.http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?action=profile;area=pmprefs
Well no need to rub it in. Way to kick a man while he's down.
Might I ask, What happens when someone types "/in"? Does the topic creator get a notification or something?no, he just checks the thread periodically. saying "I want to play" accomplishes the same thing as /in.

So then why add the "/"? I see /tag too sometimes for when people want to follow a post. Is the "/" just a convention referencing directories or something?Might I ask, What happens when someone types "/in"? I imagine is a pseudo-nostalgic reference to IRC.
Ok, sure. I'm in. All sets.
yeah man wats wrong with u!? 8) :)Ok, sure. I'm in. All sets.
Don't sound too excited.
We are close to full. Understand at this point that if you are signing up, you may get bumped.
That said, I may be willing to go above 128 due to the inevitable dropouts.

What about having a wait list?
Okay.
Today is the 17 of Feb. and that means that it is time to start Gokodom, right? So why isn't there a schedule already (or am I missing something)?
