While we're talking Crawl though. I'm currently playing a Demigod Conjurer and I've found a lot of books. Wondering what people are recommending I go for in terms of spells. I usually die before I get this sort of spell selection. I have access to the following books:

Book of Power: Fulminant Prism, Iskenderun's Mystic Blast, Venom Bolt, Bolt of Magma, Iron Shot, Orb of Destruction, Spellforged Servitor
