RMM, but with a few twists!

-Each player has a bit of knowledge about the set up of the game
-There are some roles that are completely made up
-Each player has super-powerful powers
-Each player has an annoying restriction (not as extreme or obvious as the ones in jo's BM game)
-Alignment screw-ups!
-Dominion themed powers and role name!

I'm actually done typing out the Role PMs of my game, and nearly done with the opening post.

Ozle, do you plan on getting signups done by Wednesday? If not, can I jump ahead?

How. HOW?

I do not understand how an RMM game can be made so quickly. I do not understand.
I've been working on this for a while, and just now finalized some things to make it actually become a thing.

And I have way too much free time.

Yours is far more complicated than a regular RMM. :P

It's true. I would be long done if everyone had just one ability.

-Alignment screw-ups!

What does that mean?  Alignments can change?  Or maybe a scum player is actually a town-aligned mole?  Investigation immunity and millers?

I don't understand how it takes any longer than an hour to make a game. Bmmm was pretty complex and that only took a few hours

1 week deadlines are the way forward!!, my last one had that and it moved along at a fair pace, they die out in the middle of the 2+ week deadliens

Personally, I think 1-week deadlines are too short.  Bankable deadlines are the way forward!  A la M-XII.

Explain to me how that works, is the 21 days an overall deadline for the game to end?
In which case, I approve!

We played likes this, IIRC:

Each day lasts guaranteed 3 days. You have 21 (or similar amount) of leftover days. When original 3 days expire, the additional times starts running out.

It was great, there was time pressure, we had to do things in orderly fashion, but it wasn't harsh. It was "just right". D1 didn't stall and so on.

I may steal that then

So to be clear:
3 Days per day + 21 extra days?

How many days were left over?

Actually, it was 3 per day + 18 banked, or, more precisely:

- All Days are guaranteed to be at least three days and at most twenty-one days long.
- Day 1 is set to last for twenty-one days.
- Day 2 and each subsequent day will last for:
--- three days, PLUS
--- all unused days left over at the end of the previous Day;
--- up to a maximum of twenty-one days.

---
Day 4 started with 7 days left in the bank (+3 regular ones). It ended with a quick-hammer after 3 days, so we still had 7 left.

Ok, question.

I have a list of characters for my game, would people prefer a list of them and get to choose, or have them assigned randomly.

Pro's:
Everybody gets to pick someone they like
Its fun

Cons
There may be some stuff linked to certain types of character (But not related to Mafia roles)
Takes away some of the guessing element

I am! But only because if anybody were going to host a Monty Python themed game, I would insist it be you - and that would be freaking awesome!
