Good Guy Greg just doesn't work in 2p in terms of in game interactions.
Anything good for you is bad for him and vice versa.
(Game situation)
Smoking Face
(Takes supotimal move)
My inner game theory knowing nerd can't let this fly.
What non-zero sum good can Greg really do? Encourage opponents to resign when he knows he has them beat with a torturer lock down, rather than encourage them to suffer? Not play at one move per 2 minutes when losing? Gently explain an opponents bad decision after the game?
Of course, 3p+ can be more interesting:
plays Spy, has you discard Tunnel repeatedly, later steals some Gold from you. You both might get an advantage over the 3rd player in that situation.
Plays Militia after your Council Room in 3p+? The 3rd player discards 3, you only discard 2.
